In short

A great tonkatsu spot near Olympic Park's north gate 2 for enjoying with family — the premium tonkatsu that started in Gaepo-dong can now be found here in Seongnae-dong, near Olympic Park. Riae Premium is already famous, and this is my nth visit — every time I go, I'm impressed all over again! We went with family last weekend, and true to its reputation, Riae Premium was delicious as ever.
Where is Riae Premium Olympic Park Branch, and what are its hours?
Riae Premium Olympic Park Branch is a 2-minute walk from across Olympic Park's north gate 2. It's a 3-minute walk from JYP Entertainment. Open daily 11:00–20:00 with a break time from 15:00–16:00, and parking is available behind the restaurant.

Riae Premium is a long-loved Japanese-style tonkatsu specialty restaurant tucked in an alley near JYP Entertainment, across from Olympic Park's north gate 2 — a stretch with more hidden gems than you'd expect.
Whether it's a weekday or weekend, customers never stop coming through the door! It's also a great stop with family after a walk around Olympic Park.
*Parking is available for several cars near Riae Premium's rear entrance.

Started as a humble tonkatsu shop in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam, and now it's spread from Gangnam all the way to Gangdong! A fairly well-known tonkatsu brand at this point. 'Good ingredients make good food' — Riae fries up its tonkatsu with a real sense of pride in using quality meat.

'Careful ingredient sourcing, one dish's worth of craftsmanship' — the tastiest tonkatsu made with the finest ingredients! Riae Premium's philosophy is right there on the wall as soon as you walk in. You can really feel the sincerity and care behind it.

What is Riae Premium like at 2pm on a weekend? Seating and mood
We visited last weekend for a slightly late lunch around 2pm, and the place was packed! Families, couples on dates, and plenty of people with kids too. There are 2-person and 4-person tables, and the interior is quite upscale — a lot of care clearly went into the tables and chairs. The soft lighting was a nice touch too.
*Same-day Naver reservations are available, so I'd recommend booking ahead for parties of 3 or more.
There are also solo or side-by-side counter seats, and the baby chairs were kept neat and clean.
The space was quite large, but it was still packed with customers — proof of just how popular Riae Premium is. Sincerity toward food always shows through in the end.

Even on a busy weekend, the kitchen was kept spotless, and the staff were especially kind! Visit Riae Premium and you'll feel that warmth and hospitality yourself.
There's also an event where you get one free potato croquette with a Naver receipt review.

Riae Premium menu and what this family ordered
At Riae Premium, you order via kiosk. That day, our family ordered the cold soba hire (tenderloin) set and the premium special hire (tenderloin) set, then added extra tenderloin and extra roast cutlet on top.
✔️ Riae Premium menu
- Premium special roast katsu
- Riae Tokyo menchi hambagu katsu
- Filet mignon tenderloin katsu
- Jirisan-aged sirloin katsu
- Fish katsu
There's also fried shrimp in the half-and-half set. Set meals come with cold soba, and you can add sides to the existing menu too.
Premium special hire (tenderloin) set + extra tenderloin + extra roast cutlet / Cold soba hire (tenderloin) set
Riae Premium's signature is serving tonkatsu on a huge tray, with each ceramic dish of sauce and side dish carefully arranged — a genuinely elegant spread. It's rare to find an Olympic Park restaurant where you and your family can eat tonkatsu and still feel like you're being properly served.

Cold soba hire set: the house-made broth is the highlight
This is the cold soba hire set. It comes with cold soba, one tenderloin cutlet, salad, and assorted side dishes. Before summer ends, you have to eat your fill of cold soba — I love soba!

The cold soba, resting on a bed of ice, had firm, chewy, refreshing noodles — and with cucumber, shrimp, seaweed and orange, it was clearly more thoughtfully put together than your average cold soba.

Cool, light, and made with homemade broth — the soba broth was truly excellent. Not going to lie, the cold soba disappeared faster than the tonkatsu.
The hire katsu that came with it was so tender too — more on that below.
Adding a double-portion tenderloin: three hire katsu cutlets
This is the premium hire katsu set (2 cutlets) with one extra tenderloin cutlet added on top. We added the extra to share with our kid, and ended up with three thick tenderloin cutlets — a truly generous spread.

This place really is a hire katsu specialist! Tenderloin is already a naturally soft cut, but Riae Premium's version was especially crisp on the outside and tender inside. Since it's fried whole, the portion is generous too.

Truffle oil, yuzu soy sauce and wasabi: how to dip the cutlets
Yuzu soy sauce, truffle oil, the standard tonkatsu sauce, wasabi and salt — a whole lineup of condiments that pair well with tonkatsu. The truffle oil in particular gives the tonkatsu a totally new, special flavor! Something you can only really enjoy at Riae Premium!
The tenderloin was so tender that honestly, even someone without teeth could eat it haha — and it was great being able to enjoy it freely. My kid gobbled it right up too. It didn't feel like eating simple tonkatsu — more like enjoying a proper tonkatsu dish!

Tonkatsu with wasabi has its own charm too, so make sure to try it!

Premium special roast katsu, ordered on top
Our family are big eaters, haha, so after clearing the extra tenderloin, we still added the must-try premium special roast katsu and ate a truly satisfying meal. Roast katsu has its own charm — firmer and lighter than the tenderloin.
