The bright orange awning made it easy to spot from a distance. I climbed the stairs up to the second floor, feeling a little excited.

Opening the door, I stepped into a space filled with warm wooden furniture and a classic, elegant chandelier that softly lit the whole room.

But what really caught my eye was the second-floor window seat beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass. Outside stretched a colorful flower garden in full bloom — just looking at it made me happy. Even the breeze drifting in through the wide-open window was perfect.

How much is the Pastiar lunch deal?

Once we sat down and checked the menu, I saw the tender cube steak bowl was down from its regular ₩16,000 to a lunch-discount ₩12,000. On top of that, the americano was discounted to ₩1,500 — great value for a brunch outing. We went all in and ordered the bowl, coffee, pasta, and soup.

Mushroom cream soup served in a mug

Mushroom cream soup at Pastiar

First to arrive was a warm mushroom cream soup, served generously in a large mug — the portion size surprised me. The deep, rich mushroom flavor melted into the smooth, nutty cream, waking up my appetite before the main dishes. The soup alone felt satisfying.

Shrimp Toowoomba pasta topped with snow cheese and shrimp

Next came the shrimp Toowoomba pasta, showing off gorgeous plating. Snow-like cheese and plump shrimp sat over a mouthwatering sauce, impressive just to look at. The shrimp were plump and firm, bursting with texture in every bite.

Broad noodles coated in thick Toowoomba sauce

The thick, rich sauce had a gentle spicy kick, staying clean and never greasy to the last bite. The broad noodles carried the sauce beautifully in every strand — no wonder this is a well-known pasta spot in Yeonnam-dong.

The cube steak bowl I'd been looking forward to was filled with thick, juicy pieces of meat covering the whole bowl. One bite proved it wasn't tough at all — very tender. The sweet-savory sauce clung perfectly to the fluffy rice.

From the soup, to two bowls of steak rice, to the generous pasta — we finished everything, and I was stuffed to the brim.
