Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Maseong IC Branch (옛날경성순대국 마성IC점) is in a large standalone building.

Large outdoor parking lot

Just use the outdoor lot in front of the building. I went on a weekday evening, and there was plenty of space too.

Takeout items and snacks at the entrance

As soon as you enter, they sell sundae-guk meal kits around the front desk, along with ice cream and snacks for dessert. The kids would probably love it, haha. They say the two-serving meal kit has enough for about three servings, haha. It would be nice to take one home, heat it up, and have an easy meal with the whole family.

An interior great for groups and big family meals

The restaurant is spacious and bright. There are so many tables that it would be really good for a group work lunch or dinner. Big family meals are of course OK too.

Self-serve bar and restroom

There is a self-serve bar where you can get extra side dishes.

The restroom is outside, and it was in good condition.

How to choose your sundae-guk

Sundae-guk (Korean sausage soup with rice) is the main menu item, with dwaeji-gukbap (pork soup with rice) and ppyeo-haejangguk (pork bone hangover soup) as other meals. For sharing dishes, there is head meat and sundae too, haha. You can also have your gukbap made with only the fillings you like—no sundae, no offal, no head meat, and so on. Amazing. That seems pretty smart!

Crisp side dishes and table setting

The side dishes were kkakdugi cubed radish kimchi, fresh kimchi, chilies, and onions. The chilies and onions were not spicy and had a nice sweetness. The kkakdugi and fresh kimchi were well seasoned, crisp, and delicious too. ♡

Trying the spicy sundae-guk set, dwaeji-gukbap, and sundae-guk

First, the spicy sundae-guk set! The gukbap was loaded with fillings, and the broth was rich and nicely spicy. Looking at the photos makes me want it again.. 🥹🧡 The sundae and meat were tender, moist, and delicious too, haha. My son really enjoyed the tender meat.

Dwaeji-gukbap with rich broth

The dwaeji-gukbap was packed with fillings, and the broth was savory, haha. The broth was so rich that I tried it without adding salt, and it was wonderfully deep with no unpleasant pork smell. My elementary-school-aged son ate it really well too. ^^

Sundae-guk with perilla seed powder and spicy seasoning

This is the sundae-guk! It has the same fillings as the spicy sundae-guk but is not spicy. Sprinkled with perilla seed powder, it was nutty and delicious.

While eating, I added chili and dadaegi spicy seasoning for a kick, haha. It is actually nice that you can enjoy two flavors. Lucky Vicky ♡

A family meal before visiting Everland

• The lot in front of the restaurant is large, so there is no parking stress.
• There are plenty of gukbap options that even children who cannot eat spicy food can enjoy, making it great for a family meal.
• Order a set menu to enjoy gukbap, traditional sundae, and suyuk boiled pork in different ways.
• Because it is close to Everland, it is perfect for a filling breakfast before an Everland visit.
• They serve alcohol as well, so it is also good for company dinners or gatherings.
