Jeju Korean restaurant for grilled fish, Naneun Jigeum
In short
Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is a Korean restaurant near Jeju Airport in Jeju. I ordered the two-person Keunadeul Set Meal with four kinds of grilled fish and spicy soft tofu stew, and liked that the fish was not overly salty. A great stop before or after a flight, even for a late-afternoon meal.

One thing I do not get to eat much at home is grilled fish, and while I was in Jeju, I wanted cutlassfish and grilled mackerel with rice too. So I went to Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch (나는지금생선이먹고싶다 용담공항점), near Jeju Airport, haha. With Yongyeon Valley and Yongduam nearby as well, it seemed like a nice addition to a travel itinerary.
They open from 9:30 a.m., so you can come for breakfast, and it is perfect before or after a Jeju trip. There was alley parking beside the restaurant toward the stream too, haha.
Places with a break time are usually closed from 3 to 5 p.m., which means you cannot get a meal at that awkward time. But Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda has no break time, so I liked that you can still eat if you visit at an in-between hour, haha.
Exterior and location near Jeju Airport

Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is right near Jeju Airport, so it would be ideal for breakfast before a flight, or lunch or dinner after arriving, haha.
Keunadeul Set Meal and solo set meal menu

I ordered the two-person Keunadeul Set Meal, the first item on the menu. It comes with assorted grilled mackerel, cutlassfish, flounder, and croaker, and you can choose one stew from cheonggukjang stew (fermented soybean paste stew), soft tofu stew, or kimchi stew.

There is also the Gosam Bossam menu, which comes with grilled fish as well as bossam (boiled pork wraps). Some people travel around Jeju alone too, and they have a solo set meal. At ₩12,000, it felt like good value, haha. Since it is grilled fish, it also seemed like a menu children could enjoy with the family, haha.
Interior where you can eat even at 4 p.m.

I visited around 4 p.m., an awkward time for a meal, but there were still people eating. The standard tables seated four, with round and square tables separated out, hehe.
Side dishes and high chairs
The side dishes included braised black beans, stir-fried fish cake, bean sprouts, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), and a sauce for dipping the fish. High chairs are available too.

The grilled fish was displayed in a neat row. It looked like they cooked the already grilled fish once more before serving it, because it was warm, haha.

Soft tofu stew and assorted grilled fish
For the included stew, I chose soft tofu stew. It had an egg and plenty of soft tofu inside, and it was really delicious, haha. The pleasantly spicy soft tofu stew went so well with the grilled fish, haha.

The Keunadeul Set Meal came with cutlassfish, mackerel, croaker, and flounder.

Flounder is delicious, but it is one of those fish that I somehow do not end up eating at home. It was easy to remove the bones, so it was easy to eat too. I especially liked that it was not too salty and I could taste the fish itself.

The mackerel was thick too, so it was easy to pick off the flesh, and my favorite thing was that none of the fish was overly salty. Mackerel can easily have a fishy smell, but this did not have one either.

I carefully picked apart the cutlassfish and enjoyed that too. Cutlassfish is one of the foods you have to eat when you come to Jeju, so I was happy that grilled cutlassfish was included, haha. The food was delicious, the owner was kind, and alley parking was available beside the building toward the stream, hehe.
