Korean oracle cards for anxiety and sleep: SoulGoddess

These days, whether I go to Myeong-dong or Hongdae, I see so many cafés and posts about tarot cafés and tarot readings. I was curious, but I’m shy and don’t like telling other people my story, so I bought tarot cards—something I thought only professionals used—in hopes of working through my worries myself.

With the tarot cards I had seen before, I had to look up the interpretation to know what they meant. When your mind and body already feel uncomfortable, even looking things up is hard, so I gave up ㅜㅜ. So I’d like to introduce a lovely item that anyone can check easily.

Korean-language goddess cards and 40 goddesses

Soul Society, which made the Soul Message cards—the first Korean-language oracle cards—has now created Korea’s first Korean-language goddess cards. The gold-foiled edges make them feel luxurious.

They are based on a total of 40 well-known goddesses from around the world, so it is also fun to enjoy the lovely illustrations.

The artwork is so good that I was happy to hear it will also be available as a coloring book. The images in SoulGoddess Oracle Cards feel warm and comforting. It feels especially special because you can encounter Korean-language messages themed around representative goddesses from so many different countries.

There are four Korean goddesses: Woongnyeo (웅녀), Mago (마고), Princess Bari (바리공주), and Samsin Halmi (삼신할미). All 40 cards have good meanings, but the meanings of these four feel even better.

They say these are goddess oracle cards containing essential advice, along with the wisdom and inspiration of goddesses worldwide, based on wave-energy big data from hundreds of thousands of people.

How do you use oracle cards?

I drew cards myself with an anxious heart

🍃 I want to draw cards myself 🍃 I usually have lots of worries and anxiety I’ve mentioned this in several posts before, but I tend to worry and feel anxious far too much. In particular, this anxiety and worry have left me with insomnia for a long time. So I tried sleep supplements, exercise, meditation, aromatherapy, and so many other things, but none helped much. I bought these feeling as though I were grasping at my last straw. They say intuitive interpretation is possible without tarot knowledge, so I’m going to study them and use them too.

STEP 01: Prepare to welcome the goddess

First, make your body and mind clean and comfortable. Cleanse your mind through deep breathing.

STEP 02: Choose the card you are drawn to

Spread the SoulGoddess cards in a fan shape, or hold them in one hand and say, “Goddess, please give me OO,” then choose the card you are most drawn to. After checking the message on the card you picked, consider what that message means for you.

STEP 03: Hold the message in your heart

Hold the goddess’s message in your heart for the day and reflect on what changes you experienced. I recommend sharing the goddess’s message with people you treasure and drawing cards together.

I drew a card with all my heart, saying, “Please get rid of my anxiety~,” and Guchheon Heonnyeo (구천헌녀) appeared.
