Pangyo Indian dinner for three, whole tandoori chicken: Bombay Broy
In short
Bombay Broy Pangyo is an authentic Indian curry restaurant on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Three friends met here after work and ordered butter chicken curry, lamb curry, garlic and butter naan, basmati rice, a whole tandoori chicken and mango lassi — the tandoori chicken was so generous that half a chicken would have been enough. With floor-to-ceiling windows and warm lighting in the evening, Bombay Broy Pangyo makes an unusual date spot as well as a dinner stop.

Pangyo Indian restaurant <Bombay Broy Pangyo>

After work I wanted to heal with something delicious, so I headed to the Baekhyeon-dong café street near Pangyo. There are so many good restaurants around here that I agonized over where to go, and ended up at <Bombay Broy Pangyo>, which is known as a stylish, unusual date spot haha

I completely fell for the naan fresh out of the tandoor and the deep curry flavors — let me introduce this unusual Pangyo Indian restaurant, <Bombay Broy>, now!

What does the dining room feel like?
The moment I walked into Bombay Broy Pangyo I blurted out, "Wow, the vibe here is great!" haha It felt cozy yet distinctly exotic — perfect for a date or a gathering with friends!
The floor-to-ceiling windows let you eat while looking out at the scenery without feeling closed in, and once evening comes and it gets dark, the lighting kicks in and the whole place gets even more atmospheric.
The menu: 23 curries and set meals
From tandoori chicken, the classic thing you think of with Indian food, to a whopping 23 kinds of curry, the range of choices was huge.

There were also solid set menus so you can try a bit of everything — great if you want to sample a lot of dishes or just can't decide, ordering a set is a foolproof choice haha

What comes with the meal: salad, pickles and jalapeños
After ordering, a salad with a refreshing dressing is served as a complimentary appetizer, which was great for cleansing the palate before the meal.

Pickles and jalapeños were also neatly set out to cut through the richness haha
What three of us ordered for dinner

Since we'd come all the way to the Baekhyeon-dong café street, we ordered generously! The curries come with a candle underneath to keep them warm and delicious till the end, which was nice haha

Butter chicken curry
Butter chicken curry is chicken bathed in a smooth sauce made with butter and fresh cream.

We ordered it on the staff's recommendation, and it was mild and sweet enough that pretty much anyone would enjoy it. This was my favorite thing we ate today!
Lamb curry
Lamb curry is a West Indian specialty where the appeal is the balance of strong spice aroma and heat.

The spice level wasn't overwhelming, so it was easy to enjoy, and the tender lamb combined with the rich curry sauce was delicious with rice or naan haha

Garlic naan and butter naan

Who doesn't order one naan per person at an Indian curry place?! We got butter naan and garlic naan, and both came straight out of the tandoor with incredible chewiness...
Piling curry on top or dipping it in was totally the move.
Basmati rice
We had some curry left over, so we added basmati rice, India's traditional rice. Korean-style rice is cheaper, but I ordered this one because I wanted to try the authentic Indian experience!

The distinctively light, fluffy texture was unique, and it was great eaten with the curry.
Whole tandoori chicken: is it too much for three?

Tandoori chicken is an absolute must at an Indian restaurant! It's barbecue marinated in traditional spices for a full day and a half, then roasted in the tandoor.
There were three of us so we ordered a whole chicken, but with the curry and naan and everything else, the portion was so generous that half a chicken would have been enough?! The special sauce that comes with it is the real kicker — dipping it in made it even more delicious.

Mango lassi

We also tried the mango lassi, essential with Indian food! It's a traditional Indian handmade yogurt drink, and from the first sip the smooth, rich sweetness came through strongly — a perfect combo to sip alongside spicy curry.

After we finished, there were green grape candies at the counter, so we each grabbed one haha

They said we could each have a milk tea or coffee too, but since it was already evening and we wanted to get home quickly, we skipped it, unfortunately.
Is Bombay Broy Pangyo worth a dinner trip? Final verdict
From authentic curries touched by a local chef to freshly baked naan, this was an unusual Pangyo curry restaurant that treated our mouths to deep flavor haha
If you want to enjoy exotic food on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, or you're looking for a proper Pangyo restaurant that does curry right, I recommend <Bombay Broy Pangyo>!
