Gyeongsan lunch BBQ platter and small daechang hot pot: Kkotdwaeji
In short
Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch is a pork BBQ restaurant on the bar street of Oksan-dong in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, where the staff grill the meat for you. At lunch the order was the Kkotdwaeji mixed grill platter — aged pork belly, premium neck, jowl and pork skin — plus a small daechang (beef intestine) hot pot that two people can finish comfortably. A dedicated griller cooks everything in a separate space and brings out one finished platter, and with a 9-side rice table and the spicy hot pot it makes a filling lunch.

Using only the top 20% of carefully selected domestic Korean pork, and serving a colorful 9-side rice table so you can enjoy the meat in all kinds of ways — this is a Gyeongsan favorite! I went to Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch for lunch 🎶

A meat expert on staff grills everything in a separate space, so I could just relax at the table and enjoy — and I loved that ordering the Kkotdwaeji mixed platter let me try pork belly, pork neck, jowl, and pork skin all at once.

The bulgogi-daechang (beef intestine) hot pot had deep, spicy broth. Plenty of savory daechang and mild bulgogi went in too, and it was excellent as always 👍🏻 A hearty, delicious meal with all kinds of dishes — this is a Gyeongsan pork belly spot I want to introduce!
Where is Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch, and is there parking?

Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch sits on the Oksan-dong bar street, so it's easy to reach from Gyeongsan, Yeungnam University, and Siji.

There's a large parking lot behind the building, so you don't have to worry about parking — a very convenient Gyeongsan restaurant.
Inside Kkotdwaeji Sikdang: seating for groups of up to 100

The interior is spacious and comfortable, and you can settle in nicely for your meal. It seats up to 100 for groups, so it's also great for gatherings and work dinners.
There's also a clean, comfortable restroom in the restaurant.
What comes on the 9-side rice table
The basic table was set with a variety of side dishes, vegetables, and sauces to go with the meat.

The 9-side table included pickles, baek-kimchi (white kimchi), garlic, ssamjang (dipping paste), chili powder, curry powder, wasabi, and dadaegi jang (spicy sauce). Each sauce came with its own small wooden spoon, which added a neat, tidy touch.
Fresh geotjeori (lightly seasoned cabbage) and onion sauce to eat with the meat.
They even gave us two plates for salt and sesame-oil dipping sauce — nice touch.

The soft steamed egg was delicious too.
Kkotdwaeji mixed grill platter: aged pork belly, premium neck, jowl and pork skin

I ordered the mixed platter so I could enjoy aged pork belly, premium neck, jowl, and pork skin all at once -! I loved that it let me try several cuts together 👍🏻

Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch serves only the tastiest cuts of domestic Korean pork. You could just see how good the texture was +_+

They show you the raw meat first, grill it in a separate designated space, and then bring it out fully cooked as pictured — so you can just sit back and eat, which makes this even more of a great Gyeongsan pork belly spot!

Kimchi, pa-kimchi (scallion kimchi), buchu-muchim (seasoned chives), kongnamul-muchim (seasoned bean sprouts), and mushrooms were grilled on the side for extra variety.

They also grilled tteokbokki rice cakes, potato, tomato, kkwari-gochu (shishito peppers), and even jeotgal (salted seafood) to add richness to the meat! Truly a generous platter -
Pork belly, pork neck, and jowl all at once! The fat-to-meat ratio was great, and every cut was juicy and delicious.

Pork belly trimmed to a perfect fat-to-lean ratio is always good 💛 With a professional griller cooking it, it tastes even better.
Dipping it in jeotgal adds even more savory depth.

This pork pairs well with wasabi too )_( The pork neck here was juicy and tender with no dryness at all -

Also great with the fresh geotjeori! The chewy jowl is definitely worth trying too -
I also wrapped some with kongnamul-muchim and buchu-muchim — with so many ways to eat it, you never get tired of it.

And finally the pork skin, full of collagen, chewy and savory! Great mixed platter that lets you try a bit of everything 👍🏻
Small daechang hot pot: enough for two

I heard Kkotdwaeji Sikdang also does a great daechang hot pot and wanted to try it, but I was worried the portion would be too much for two...! Then I checked the menu and found a small size perfect for sharing as a side, so I ordered it right away.
It comes out on a burner, and they told us to let it simmer until the vegetables are fully cooked.
Full of chewy, savory daechang — even the small size was generous. It also had chadolbagi (thin-sliced beef brisket), which is lower in fat and adds a milder flavor.

Soft tofu and several kinds of mushrooms went in too -

Perfectly cooked glass noodles rounded out a truly hearty meal.
Is lunch at Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch worth it?
A generous platter of mixed grilled meats! Since all the BBQ items — pork belly, pork neck, and more — come out already grilled, it was even better being able to just relax and eat. The daechang hot pot I had for the meal was just as good as the main dish ✨ I completely recommend Kkotdwaeji as a Gyeongsan favorite :)
