Songpa pizza restaurant with crisp, moist chicken pizza: Pizza Never Sleeps
In short
Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is a pizza restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, where pizza, beer, and a distinctive basement setting come together. Chicken Never Sleeps had a balanced tomato-and-garlic flavor with a gentle kick, and its crust was especially crisp yet moist. Verdict: a worthwhile stop for pizza and beer in a more unusual setting.

A worldly pizza space waiting downstairs
This is a good pick if you want a place that has the pizza, the interior, and the mood all covered. The moment you head down into the basement, it feels a little like you have arrived abroad.

Follow the small sign down the stairs and an unexpectedly spacious spot opens up, which is pretty satisfying.
If you are looking for pizza around Songridan-gil, Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is such a fun option largely because of the interior. From the overall mood to the decor, haha, there is really nothing more to ask for. It is a pizza place, but the space itself has such a distinct personality that it feels like an attraction in its own right.

Honestly, when you consider what this interior must have cost, the pizza almost feels really cheap. It is great for a date, and I think even parents visiting from out of town would get a kick out of this unusual atmosphere.

Using the kiosk and self-service bar
The restaurant is so large that calling over a staff member used to be a little inconvenient, but there is now a kiosk, making ordering easier. It may have lost just a tiny bit of its atmosphere, but the convenience has definitely improved.

You can charge your devices at the self-service bar and pick up water, tissues, and so on.

Since cooking starts as soon as you order, keep in mind that you may wait around 10 to 20 minutes.

You can order half-and-half, and there are more pizzas with surprisingly wild-looking toppings and combinations than you might expect. Like the fries pizza: carbs plus carbs, wow.

There is a good range of draft beers, and overall they seem well matched to pizza. If you are thinking value for money, I would personally recommend Red Rock. Today, I ordered Chicken Never Sleeps.

Chicken Never Sleeps and its crisp, moist crust
If you ask for more side dishes or sauces, they will bring them over, so just eat comfortably..

Once you try it, the crust has this loud crunch while the pizza itself stays moist. Even the edge does not feel dried out and rock-hard; it still has just the right amount of chew. Honestly, of all the pizzas I have had at Pizza Never Sleeps, this had the crust doneness I liked best. I really loved that the moisture and oil from the toppings did not soak into the crust.

You can probably tell from the photo, but that crackly crust makes the whole pizza-eating experience feel fresh.

When I had the minari-samgyeop pizza before, it personally felt a little greasy, but Chicken Never Sleeps felt much better balanced overall. The tomato acidity and spice, plus the fragrance of garlic, strike a nice balance between the chicken and crust.

The tomato sauce on Chicken Never Sleeps is quite memorable. It has a lightly spicy edge overall, so the pizza does not become tiring even as you keep eating. The garlic adds another layer of flavor, and as you eat, it almost has a slightly Korean-food feel? It also feels as if hot sauce has already been subtly drizzled over the whole pizza.

And the crust ends are quietly important when you eat pizza. Here, aioli and cheese sauce are served separately, so they are great for dipping the edges. They are fine on their own, but with sauce, you can enjoy every last bite.

I tend to prefer the aioli a little more.

The pizza boxes here are also very cute, so if you get takeout, they pack everything up neatly.

Pizza and beer on Songridan-gil
Overall, Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch was not simply a place to visit for the pizza alone; it was fun to enjoy the atmosphere, pizza, and beer all at once. Chicken Never Sleeps in particular did not get as tiring as expected, with tomato and garlic flavor plus a subtle spiciness that was almost gochujang-like, and I also loved the crisp yet moist texture of the crust. If you want a casual pizza-and-beer date around Songridan-gil, or are looking for a pizza restaurant with a slightly different atmosphere, it is worth a visit at least once.
