Songdo sushi restaurant with an all-in set meal: Sushi Doku The Songdo
In short
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant in Yeonsu, Incheon, serving live-made sushi and Japanese set meals at Onesta Mall. My husband and I had two ₩25,900 Premium Sushi Sets with truffle chawanmushi, 10 pieces of sushi, half udon, and tempura. Verdict: arrive right at opening on weekends for this generously portioned set.

Why I recommend arriving at opening for sushi at Songdo Onesta
Songdo feels even more tempting for a weekend date or a special day. This time, I was curious about this sushi restaurant that gets so much word of mouth and always has a line, so we went! Naver reservations are available for parties of six or more, but otherwise they are difficult—so I recommend an opening run!

At this popular Incheon Songdo spot, we ordered two special set meals in the ₩20,000 range and had one each—such a generous spread, right? 💞💞

It is on the second floor of Onesta, next to Songhyeona (Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo), with access that feels directly connected to Technopark Station. It is across from Outback, so I think everyone will know it. Parking is available too, making it a great Songdo parking-friendly restaurant if you are driving, haha.

Sushi Doku The Songdo (스시도쿠 더송도), a popular restaurant in Incheon Songdo, has convenient access as well as a neat interior and atmosphere. If you have been looking for great Japanese food and sushi in Songdo, you have probably come across this place at least once.

On the left is the waiting scene after I did the opening run, ate, and came out; on the right is what it looked like when I arrived at opening, hahaha.
They say 230,000 people visit Sushi Doku in a year. It opens at 11:00—and this was at 11:48 on a Sunday! There were 29 parties waiting... Party number 3 had just gone in, so I hope that gives you an idea of the weekend wait at Sushi Doku!

You can look over the menu before going in, which is helpful. There are lots of choices, from sushi set meals and children's sets to sashimi, so you can eat according to your taste. The takeout options are good value too :)

Sushi Doku The Songdo is 100% live sushi! They offer the proper flavor of aged fish, and sushi made right in front of you is just so good -*

Table ordering and a neat seating atmosphere
Customers poured in as soon as it opened at 11:00, entering one party at a time. This is the basic table setting, and it has that neat Songdo Japanese-dining feel~!
There are seats farther inside too, so if you go in a group, you could eat with a slightly more separated feeling, haha. The interior uses decorative fabric like subtle partitions, creating a refined yet private atmosphere :)
At Sushi Doku Incheon, everyone orders from a tablet at their table. The first page also explains the receipt-review event, and it is otoro sushi..! It would be a shame not to join, so definitely give it a try.

What comes with the ₩25,900 Premium Sushi Set
I visited this popular Incheon Songdo restaurant with my husband, just the two of us! We ordered two Premium Sushi Sets :) It is ₩25,900 per person.

You can choose from a wide range, from set meals to à la carte dishes~! There is sashimi, sides, and more, so it is easy to choose to your taste, and the prices are not burdensome either, haha. You pay when you leave.
From the presentation on a semicircular wooden tray, Sushi Doku, this Songdo sushi spot, really made us feel looked after.

It was neatly served with 10 pieces of sushi using live fish, truffle chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), salad, half udon, and three pieces of tempura.
There was an appetizer salad with fresh dressing, crispy freshly fried shrimp tempura and chicken karaage, plus half udon with warm, deep-flavored broth and springy noodles. It was quite a lot of food~!

I especially loved the truffle chawanmushi
Honestly, I am a steamed-egg fanatic, hahaha, and this one came as truffle chawanmushi too—it was no joke~!
It was soft and bouncy like a pre-meal pudding, while the subtle truffle aroma spread through it so impressively! There were shrimp, ginkgo nuts, and other ingredients inside too, which made it fun to eat together 👧

Ten pieces of sushi and the fun of brushing on soy sauce
The main sushi in the set comes as 10 pieces: flounder, red sea bream, salmon, ika (squid), northern pink shrimp, akami (lean tuna), red shrimp, red crab meat, eel, and ankimo (monkfish liver).

The neta, or sushi toppings, had clearly gone through proper same-day aging, so they gleamed and had excellent texture. And here, you get the fun of brushing soy sauce onto the sushi with a little brush~! It gave the meal another enjoyable touch.

The flounder and red sea bream had that signature chewy texture and savoriness of white fish. The nutty freshness of the seafood and the sweetness that emerged as I chewed were so impressive, making them a delicious treat :-)

Salmon is especially popular here! The long-tailed salmon had a rich oiliness that spread beautifully, and its chewy texture was incredibly impressive~
And my husband chose the ankimo!! Hahaha, he really loved it. He normally does not like monkfish liver, but said he understood why people call this buttery—definitely my husband's pick! We nearly ordered it à la carte, hahaha... 💓

Half udon, tempura, and event otoro sushi
The half udon was savory and lightly spicy, so it may be difficult for very young children. If you ask for hot water or mention it beforehand, I think you can enjoy it more deliciously. It was saltier than at other places, but so tasty—and surprisingly filling, haha.
The freshly fried tempura was also delicious even without sauce: a large shrimp tempura and chicken karaage. The batter was not thick, just crisp, while the inside was tender and moist—a tempura course that carried on the melt-in-your-mouth impression of the sushi at this popular Incheon Songdo restaurant.
We said, “If the set is not enough, let's order more!” But Sushi Doku's special set was more filling than we expected. So we did the receipt review and received one piece each of otoro sushi :)
Otoro, fatty tuna belly, is truly precious, right? One piece with beautiful marbling over its bright-red base just melted away,, It was hard to believe we got it through an event ㅠ Please do try it~~~
We finished with warm maesil-cha (plum tea)! I had worried that this Songdo sushi restaurant might feel chaotic because it is always so busy, but it was surprisingly calm; the staff were kind, and the restaurant was clean, so I loved it! It even made me think about having a family gathering there next time, haha.
From the set meal and sides to the complimentary otoro sushi, we enjoyed so much that it was hard to believe the price was in the ₩20,000 range! After shopping at Songhyeona, do stop by when you are craving a neat Japanese meal :)
