Introducing a Dongtan Station pho spot that's great for a slurpy hangover cure fix haha😆 It's super close to Dongtan Station / right across from the Lotte Department Store so it's easy to find, and the building parking is so convenient too. How long is the weekday lunch wait at Mibundang?
I visited Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch at noon on a weekday and there were about 8 teams waiting-🔥 Mibundang is a popular Dongtan Station restaurant, but the table turnover is super fast! ➡️ I got in after about a 20-minute wait.
While waiting, they had parasols and hutgae tea (Korean raisin tree tea) available to use! It's still pretty hot in the daytime, so the parasol made waiting so much more comfortable🫶🏻 + the hutgae tea was really cold and refreshing too. After the wait, we finally get in~~~ ⬇️⬇️⬇️
A quiet room that works for solo dining
For reference, the atmosphere Mibundang goes for is quiet and comfortable. Once you're inside, eating quietly so as not to disturb the person next to you is the house rule! Maybe that's why quite a lot of people come in to eat solo without any hesitation👍🏻
I also quickly sat down and read through the 'how to enjoy it' guide😚 The sauces are set up above each seat, so you can mix your own ratio to taste! And there's a hair tie hanging at every seat too — such a thoughtful touch, right? Hehe
Watching the pho get made right in front of me, I totally lost track of time. They pile a blanket of brisket over the bean sprouts and noodles, pour the broth on top, and it's done❤️
Brisket-shank pho, 12,500 won: portion and taste
Here comes the brisket-shank pho-✨️ Piled generously with brisket & shank, it looked so satisfying just to see. Considering the ₩12,500 price, they really don't skimp on ingredients🔥
The portion is pretty big, and you can even refill the bean sprouts and noodles! (with one full meal order per person) I haven't refilled yet, but I always leave stuffed full👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 ➡️ Officially a champion Dongtan Station pho spot🥹
I tried the broth first, and yep — this is Mibundang alright. The deep, clean broth combined with the savory flavor of the brisket/shank gave it a rich, full-bodied taste👍🏻
Eating the noodles & bean sprouts with the meat made my mouth water so much...🤤 The brisket is savory and soft, and the shank is clean-tasting yet chewy — I recommend enjoying both.
Shrimp potato rolls, 3,500 won
This is the shrimp potato rolls I ordered as a side — 3 pieces for ₩3,500, so it's a no-pressure amount and price👍🏻 Freshly fried, hot and crispy, it paired well with the pho too. If you're craving something crispy and fried, I strongly recommend this one~~~
Second visit to Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch: the verdict
On the way out, there was even mouthwash and mints ready to freshen up with😉 A satisfying finish all the way through at this Dongtan Station pho spot, Mibundang. 200% satisfied on my second visit too, so I'll definitely be back again soon-🩷 If you're craving a hot bowl of pho, Mibundang is the move!
