Dream Samgyetang is one of the go-to Dongtan Station restaurants, located right in front of the station, specializing in baeksuk and samgyetang. It's a popular spot for its deep, rich comfort-food broth simmered with 10 different herbs and grains — no preservatives, no MSG, so you get the natural flavor of the ingredients and that savory chicken taste. Where is Dream Samgyetang and where do you park?
Dream Samgyetang is on the 2nd floor of a commercial building in Osan-dong, Dongtan-gu, right near Dongtan Station, with free parking in the building's basement lot. It's open daily from 10:30 to 22:30, last order at 22:00, no days off.

There are a lot of great restaurants around Dongtan Station, so it's a neighborhood I visit often — this time I was looking for a good samgyetang spot to give my daughter and me a boost of energy, and this is where I landed. Parking was easy since the building has free basement parking, so we parked and headed straight in to eat!
Inside Dream Samgyetang: clean rooms and group seating
Dream Samgyetang is a pretty big restaurant to start with, and it has plenty of group tables, so the interior felt clean and roomy. The moment we walked in, that savory samgyetang smell drifted out, and I couldn't wait to eat ><
Dream Samgyetang uses homemade domestic kimchi, made in-house three times a week so it's always served at its best fermentation state 👍🏻 They also offer nationwide delivery for their samgyetang, so it seems like a great gift option for parents or friends who live far away!
There's a coffee vending machine near the entrance too, so you can enjoy a warm coffee after the meal ^^

What we ordered, starting with the side dishes
After ordering samgyetang for both of us, we waited while they set out diced radish kimchi, radish pickles, kimchi, and peppers. Since these side dishes are made in-house at Dream Samgyetang, they were definitely healthy and tasty!
How thick is the Dream Samgyetang broth?
Our Dream Samgyetang came out in under 20 minutes. The main menu item, Dream Samgyetang, is known for its clean yet thick broth simmered for an hour with 10 ingredients. I personally love samgyetang, and I love it even more when the broth is this thick ><
The stone pot bubbling away, with that savory, rich samgyetang smell already promising it would be delicious haha. The broth is really thick, and since there's no MSG it might taste a bit mild, but the broth itself is so rich that this is comfort food in its truest form ❗️ If you want to season it up, just add a bit of salt on the side.
The tender chicken thigh meat goes without saying, but the chicken breast was so moist too — I usually don't like dry chicken breast, but this one passed the test 😋 There was no gamey chicken smell either, and just the right hint of herbal aroma, giving that feeling of getting healthier with every bite.
There's rice stuffed inside the samgyetang too, and it was just moist and fluffy enough — topped with the homemade diced radish kimchi, I couldn't stop eating it ^^ My daughter has a pretty picky palate, but she said it was delicious and wants to come again haha. Alright, next time let's bring dad along too!!
