There is a dedicated four-story parking building next door, with free parking for up to 77 cars. Naver reservations are available, but only for parties of four or more; private rooms are available as a separate reservation package for parties of six or more.

They say that if you reserve for four or more within a week before or after your birthday and order four or more menu items, you receive a large beef jeon birthday service. Be sure to bring ID!

A neat, modern space for Korean set meals

Mikodam Magok-Balsan Branch (미꼬담 마곡발산점) is a Korean set-meal restaurant with a neat, modern interior. There are various set menus, from sets for two to sets for four, with Korean dishes such as seaweed soup, cockle bibimbap, and beef jeon served in a tidy spread.

The parking lot was so spacious that it was really convenient to visit by car, and the private rooms made it seem perfect for family gatherings or important occasions too. It is close to Balsan Station, right on the border of the Magok district and Deungchon-dong, so it is an easy location for family gatherings or work dinners too ⋆.ೃ࿔

Open-room seating and high chairs

We sat in the open-room section, and I heard that seating is assigned first-come, first-served based on the reservation time. With its neat, modern interior, it was totally suited for a date too haha.

The generous Korean set for two is ₩46,000 and includes one serving of seaweed soup, one serving of cockle bibimbap, and one side. ❤︎ What an amazing lineup, right~? ❤︎ You can choose options for both the seaweed soup and cockle bibimbap, and there were several sides to choose from too.

A neatly laid table

The table was neatly set with a full spread of side dishes. They said the side dishes could be refilled too, so filling!!

The whole table came out incredibly generous! The side dishes were neatly arranged, including three-color seasoned vegetables, fresh kimchi, and chicory salad, along with spicy stir-fried pork, pickles, and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles).

The seasoned roasted seaweed was savory and salty dipped in soy sauce—just right with rice—and the jellyfish cold salad was sweet and tangy, really waking up my appetite. ₍ᐢ..ᐢ₎♡̷ ☘︎

The spicy cockle salad had such rich seasoning. It was really delicious wrapped up like ssam (a leafy or seaweed wrap) with rice, seaweed, and a dip of soy sauce.

The beef seaweed soup arrived bubbling in an earthenware pot, and its broth was so rich and comforting.

The beef jeon was tender and nutty, and the seasoned chives added an extra fragrant touch. The freshly cooked Sindongjin rice was beautifully glossy too, perfect for mixing with the side dishes.

The Norwegian mackerel was tender too... ❤︎

They say the overall character is deep flavor without being overpowering, and truly, every single side dish was delicious. Kimdori eats so much seaweed! So we got another refill~
