Today I went to Hongdae to eat at Yukjeon Gukbap! With the weather swinging between hot and chilly lately, this place is perfect since you can try both gukbap (Korean soup with rice) and makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles). Yukjeon Gukbap Seogyo Branch is located at 1F, 9-1 World Cup buk-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It's open 24 hours with no regular closing days, so you can go anytime — though for holidays like Chuseok, I'd recommend checking Naver Place first!

Yukjeon Gukbap is about 200-300m from Hongdae Station Exit 1. Just follow the main road and it's right at the intersection, so it's easy to find~~!

Weekday lunch crowd and solo seats at Yukjeon Gukbap

Yukjeon Gukbap Seogyo Branch has a really spacious interior, so a lot of people come here!! I went during lunchtime and there were so many office workers hahaha 👍 I guess that just shows how trusted this place is?

This is what the interior looks like! There are seats even toward the back, and solo seating too, so I could eat comfortably. Past 11:30 on a weekday lunch, nearby office workers had filled up almost all the seats!!

How was the gop-haejang set with beef pancake?

I ordered the gop-haejang set! Between beef meatballs and beef pancake, I picked the beef pancake!! Coming to a place called Yukjeon Gukbap, you've gotta have the beef pancake.

The real kicker here is that onion sauce with onions in it,, 👍 the beef pancake is genuinely delicious,, definitely order something that comes with the beef pancake here. Comes with kkakdugi (radish kimchi) and kimchi too!!

The gop-haejang came out soon after!! Can you see it still bubbling away with steam,, hahahaha

There was so much stuff inside — meat, tripe, and more — it was delicious! The broth was rich yet clean, so good, good 😘 the longer you eat it, the more it thickens, ,

I properly finished off this Hongdae hotspot down to the last drop!
