It's been a while since I wrote a blog post. That's because my urge to share a super super delicious place literally dragged me to sit in front of the computer haha.
Today I'm posting about Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch (해물특별시 부천역본점), the mega-super-value agujjim (spicy braised monkfish) place I always visit when I come to Bucheon Station. Among the agujjim and seafood stew spots near Bucheon Station, it's not an exaggeration to call this the most famous one — I've already been more than three or four times, so I'm a certified regular!!!! Already an established local landmark, the ridiculously delicious Haemul Teukbyeolsi!!!!

Where is Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch, and what is it like inside?
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch is an agujjim/seafood stew restaurant on the 1st floor of 440-6 Buil-ro, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si. Clean exterior. Even though I came at an awkward hour on a Sunday, there were already reservations. A familiar place by now haha. Let's go on in.

As always, the place is tidy. Hygienic and pleasant haha. And the fact that there were already customers even though I came at an off-peak time on a Sunday!!!! That says something, right?

Does Haemul Teukbyeolsi work for group dinners? Tables can be moved together
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch lets you rearrange tables, so it's great for company dinners, gatherings, and group outings near Bucheon Station. I sat in a nice breezy window seat haha. Great for family meals, family gatherings, even dates haha. Good as a first stop for drinks, or as a second or third round.

Collagen agujjim set, switched to boneless, 43,000 won
What I ordered at Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch was the collagen agujjim set (changed to boneless). You can order easily right from the table. Ordering the set gets you a bunch of side dishes, so highly recommended haha. They have Duzzonkoo Chamisul if you're curious, give it a try — I was curious too but just ordered Seonyang this time.

The side dishes that come with the set — every single one delicious haha.

And here comes the agujjim!! The visual is insane???? Mouth-watering,,, the spicy, ridiculously delicious sauce smell drove me crazy..

This much agujjim, this loaded, for ₩43,000,,, the value is genuinely insane. No reason not to eat it.

Boneless or on the bone: which monkfish to choose
The collagen agujjim at Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch can be changed to boneless. I actually prefer bone-in usually, but when I'm drinking, picking bones is annoying so I go boneless. The boneless fish is genuinely so tender and soaks up the ridiculously good sauce so well, I kept gasping haha.

The bean sprouts and sea squirt roe are worth eating too. Depending on the order options you can add extra seafood, and there's also a review event that lets you add toppings like whole squid for free, so definitely follow-and-review haha.

Wrapping the agujjim in dumpling skins
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch also serves dumplings for wrapping the agujjim. These dumplings!!! I forget what they're called exactly, but anyway you pick them up and wrap the fish in them. I vaguely remember hearing some regional street-food thing uses a similar dumpling wrap, and applying that idea to agujjim here is a great move haha.

Eating it wrapped like this is ridiculously delicious haha. Honestly my first time with this combo but it's such a perfect match. Oh, surprising — it really goes well together and tastes great, that kind of feeling.

No room for the fried rice, and open until 6am
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Bucheon Station branch is open until 6am, so it's great to come to after catching the last train. After finishing everything I felt like I was about to burst, so I failed to get to the fried rice,, portion is huge, taste is great, value is great!! Next time I'll stretch my stomach and make sure to have the fried rice haha (other people's fried rice smelled insane by the way).
Parking: 2 hours free if you use the Sangnok Freezone building parking lot.
