Basement garage elevator entry at a Haeundae Chinese restaurant
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is an upscale Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. Guests park in the building's dedicated lot on basement level 1 and ride the elevator up to the first-floor dining room, then order at a kiosk; this visit brought black vinegar pork loin sweet and sour pork, gan-jjajang with poached egg and pork belly, and beef brisket jjamppong. The sweet-tangy, nutty and fiery flavors were different enough that rotating between the three dishes stayed fun to the last bite.

Today I visited a Haeundae favorite with a distinctly antique atmosphere on Dalmaji-gil in Busan's Haeundae — "Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch." Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch has a somewhat different vibe from the average neighborhood Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil; it's a "Haeundae Chinese restaurant" where you can enjoy refined, upscale Chinese cuisine.

Where is Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, and its hours and parking
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is located at 200 Dalmaji-gil 117beon-na-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, open daily 11:00–21:00 with a break time from 15:00–16:30. You can use the dedicated parking lot.

The dedicated parking lot is on the basement level of the Bueokgan building and beside it, so the visit was convenient. From the basement parking lot, I finally rode the elevator up to enter Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch on the first floor.
What does the Bueokgan Haeundae dining room feel like?
The interior of Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch had a comfortable feel, with warm-toned floor tiles and calming green two-tone walls.

Simple pendant lights placed throughout create a soft, orange-toned, emotional atmosphere — it seems like it would be really good for a couple's date, a family meal out, or a gathering spot.

Three dishes ordered at the kiosk
Here's the menu, for reference~ We ordered black vinegar pork tenderloin sweet and sour pork, poached egg pork belly jjajangmyeon, and beef brisket beef jjamppong, all conveniently through the kiosk. There were a lot of dishes I wanted to try, but today, Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch's Best menu items were really popular.

First, jasmine tea to cut the greasiness and the basic side dishes arrived at the table.

Black vinegar pork loin sweet and sour pork
The first dish we ate was the black vinegar pork tenderloin sweet and sour pork. Coated in a black vinegar sauce with a deeper color than typical sweet and sour pork, it looked delicious just from the visuals. Taking a bite, the outside stayed crispy while the tenderloin inside was moist and tender — great texture from the start. But most of all, the black vinegar sauce was the star. The tangy, sweet, and savory flavors in my mouth felt distinctly different. Thanks to the black vinegar's signature tang, I never got tired of eating the meat even after several pieces.

Beef brisket jjamppong (spicy seafood-style noodle soup)
I usually love spicy soup dishes, so this is a dish I wanted to introduce to anyone searching for a Haeundae jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) spot. As soon as it arrived at the table, the deep-colored broth already looked spicy, so I tried the broth first — the beef brisket beef jjamppong had the refreshing sweetness of napa cabbage and the savory richness of beef brisket melted into the broth, giving it a spicy, deep flavor, and with plenty of beef brisket and vegetables, the jjamppong's heat was even more delicious.

Gan-jjajang with poached egg and pork belly
Next was the poached egg pork belly jjajangmyeon, whose name alone made me curious! A signature jjajang (black bean sauce noodles) topped with a poached egg, crisp cucumber, and a sauce loaded with pork belly, mixed together — the visuals alone were special. They popped the poached egg's yolk and mixed it together with the rich jjajang sauce and noodles. Slurping up the glossy noodles~ the deep, savory-salty taste of the jjajang combined with the soft, nutty richness of the poached egg made the overall flavor smooth and delicious. Add in the savory richness of the pork belly, and it had a charm quite different from regular jjajangmyeon.

Verdict: eating all three Bueokgan dishes in rotation
Personally, I really liked the dishes we ordered. The sweet-and-sour tang of the black vinegar pork tenderloin sweet and sour pork, the rich, savory taste of the poached egg pork belly jjajangmyeon, plus the spicy, deep broth of the beef brisket beef jjamppong — the flavors were clearly distinct, so it was fun rotating between the three dishes.
Above all, not just the food but the clean, sophisticated interior made it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal, which I also liked. So for anyone looking for a more atmospheric Haeundae Chinese restaurant rather than an ordinary neighborhood spot, this is a great stop for a date on Dalmaji-gil, a family meal with parents, or a gathering. If you're looking for a Haeundae Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil, or craving something spicy and searching for the best Haeundae jjamppong, give it a visit. I recommend "Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch."
