In short
Yangnam Yanghwa (양남양화) is a premium lamb dining bar in Mullae, Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, that serves lamb under one year old, with all-you-can-eat lamb T-bone steak and lamb ribs. The writer and her husband compared the tenderloin and sirloin of the lamb T-bone steak across 6 sauces, refilled the lamb ribs, and finished with garlic rice, seafood ramyeon, bibim-myeon (spicy mixed noodles) and a black grapefruit ade. Are the seats and atmosphere good for a date?
The seating is split into two rooms, both with bar-style (dacchi) seats and a grilling service, which I liked. The atmosphere is nice too, so honestly I think it works well as a date spot in Yeongdeungpo.

Since Yangnam Yanghwa is a premium lamb dining bar using lamb under one year old, it suits anyone who cares about tender lamb. What caught my eye most was that both the lamb T-bone steak and the lamb ribs are all-you-can-eat.
Lamb changes in texture and flavor depending on how it's cooked, so the cooking matters. At Yangnam Yanghwa the staff grill the meat for you, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about timing. They also carefully asked how I like it done, which made it even better. The mood suits dates or work gatherings where you want to focus on conversation while you eat.
What lamb sauces does Yangnam Yanghwa have?
For dipping the lamb, there's plain salt and mayo sauce, plus wasabi, soy sauce, cumin (zira) and mint sauce. You can enjoy it in different ways depending on your taste.

Salt let me taste the meat itself, and wasabi kept things clean and light. With distinctive sauces like cumin or mint, the same lamb ribs felt like a whole new dish, which I loved.
How do the T-bone tenderloin and sirloin taste different?
The charm of the lamb T-bone steak at Yangnam Yanghwa is that you get tenderloin and sirloin together. Even with the same lamb, texture and flavor differ by cut, so comparing them was fun, you know?
The tenderloin stood out first for its truly tender texture. It wasn't tough to chew and the meat was delicate, so it was my personal favorite cut. If you like soft meat, I'd even recommend starting with the tenderloin 👍👍👍

The sirloin was lighter than the tenderloin but with a rich, nutty flavor. The more I chewed, the more the meat's own taste came through, a different kind of enjoyment from the tenderloin. Because the staff grill it to a good state, it was easy to focus on the taste and texture of each cut. If you want to compare different lamb cuts in Yeongdeungpo, the lamb T-bone steak is worth a look.
How were the lamb ribs?
The lamb ribs caught my eye with their generous size, and when well grilled the meat was good with a rich, nutty flavor. I really wanted to try them alongside the T-bone steak, and watching them sizzle into something so appetizing raised my expectations even more.
One bite gave me that deep flavor lamb is known for, and the tender texture made them easy to eat. I preferred the tenderloin, but my husband said the lamb ribs were good, you know?

How are the three sides: garlic rice, seafood ramyeon and bibim-myeon?
With the meat, we ordered three sides: garlic rice, seafood ramyeon and bibim-myeon (spicy cold noodles), which made the meal even fuller. First, the garlic rice.

The garlic rice is savory rice topped with garlic flakes and served with seaweed. The fragrance of garlic and the crunch of the flakes went together nicely, and it paired easily with the lamb. Next, the seafood ramyeon!

The seafood ramyeon had an impressive broth, cool and spicy at once. The punchy broth was great for spooning up between bites of meat, and it worked well as a way to finish the meal. For some reason I found this broth addictive 😂👍 And this ramyeon has a strange charm, and I can't say why, but it kept making me think of wine, haha.
Next, the bibim-myeon!

The bibim-myeon had a familiar, easygoing sweet-and-sour taste that went well with the meat. If you like cold noodles, this one's for you!
Finishing with lamb rib refills, grilled vegetables and black grapefruit ade
Being able to order a cut you want to eat once more is the charm of an all-you-can-eat place. For our refill at Yangnam Yanghwa, I went with the lamb ribs at my husband's suggestion.

Besides the lamb ribs, they also grill vegetables like tomato, mushroom, eggplant and pineapple, so there was plenty of variety. I really love the sweetness onions get the longer they grill 🐥

We finished with a Coke Zero and a black grapefruit ade.

The fresh black grapefruit ade was a nice way to refresh the palate.
Verdict: who is Yangnam Yanghwa for?
Yangnam Yanghwa was satisfying: tender tenderloin, light sirloin and big, nutty lamb ribs all in one meal. The staff grill the meat and carefully check how you like it done, so I could focus on eating. With a range of sauces and sides like garlic rice and seafood ramyeon, it's also a good place to try lamb in many combinations.
If you're looking for lamb ribs in Yeongdeungpo or a special meat meal in Mullae, I recommend visiting Yangnam Yanghwa. It's a Mullae lamb specialist worth keeping in mind for after-work dinners or a different kind of meal.
