There's a pizza place near Connect Hyundai in Cheongju with a red sign that always catches my eye when I pass by 🍕 I'd been curious every time, and I finally went!

This time I visited Cheese Wave Cheongju Terminal Branch~ Cheese Wave is a pizza franchise that started from UPP in Itaewon, and after locations across Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi, this Cheongju Terminal branch is apparently their sixth store~

With high expectations, my boyfriend and I went out for pizza and a draft beer 😊

Where is Cheese Wave Cheongju Terminal Branch, and what is the space like?

Cheese Wave Cheongju Terminal Branch is at 170-1 Punglyeon-ro, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, 1st floor, near Connect Hyundai Cheongju. The red sign stood out from the outside, and once I stepped in, that same color carried through inside too!

The interior was clean overall with red accents placed here and there, which gave the place a lively feel ❤️

The red on the walls and furniture fit really well with the casual vibe pizza places usually have, haha. It didn't feel overly decorated — more like a comfortable space to sit and enjoy pizza!

It would be great to come here with friends to share a pizza, or like us, for a beer on a date~

They also do takeout and delivery, and even show sports broadcasts?😯 I think it'd be nice to come on a day with a soccer or baseball game and have pizza with a beer haha

NFC ordering and what the self-serve bar stocks

Ordering at Cheese Wave Cheongju Terminal Branch was done through the NFC tag on the table! The self-serve bar had pickles, tissues, water, and cutlery ready.

It was nice being able to pick the menu comfortably right from our seats 👍

There's a leftover charge if you don't finish the pickles, so just take as much as you'll eat!

The table also had sauces like crushed pepper, parmesan cheese, and hot sauce ready to go!

The draft beer came out first! It came in a frosted glass, and honestly, it was just so good,,, ♡

How long does the half-and-half pizza take?

The pizza at Cheese Wave Cheongju Terminal Branch is made to order, so it took about 15–20 minutes~

Maybe because it was freshly made, the visual alone was so good,,, 🥹🫶

The potato was soft and fluffy, and the salty bacon on top kept me reaching for more!

The rich tomato sauce made with Cheese Wave's own recipe, paired with the 48-hour fermented dough 💛 This was the clear favorite for both my boyfriend and me haha

Next up, pepperoni! A classic that never fails haha

The salty pepperoni on top went really well with the beer 💗

We dipped it in the garlic sauce and sprinkled on some crushed pepper too~ Adding the sauces let us enjoy a whole different flavor, which was nice!

Before we knew it, the beer was gone,,, and in the end, we finished off the whole pizza too haha

Is Cheese Wave Cheongju worth it for a pizza-and-beer date?

I'd been curious about Cheese Wave every time I passed by near Connect Hyundai in Cheongju, and I finally made it there! This is the kind of place that'll come to mind whenever I want pizza with a beer 🍺
