Solo drinking bar in Sillim, Seoul: Bourbon and Midori Sour at Yahwa

I went to Yahwa Sillim, a solo drinking bar near Sillim Station, haha. After dinner with friends I was craving dessert, so cinnamon orange and pineapple sherbet 💜 and I also wanted to try some cocktails I'd never had before, so off I went to a Sillim solo bar ~ let's get into the review ~💗

The menu and what I ordered

Ordered a solid lineup of snacks ~ 🙄 I was curious about the bourbon cocktail and Midori Sour so I dove in 😖 a great whiskey spot in Sillim 👍🏻

They had heotgae stick jelly and honey sticks all set up nicely too. The chicken-leg-shaped crackers are always delicious, haha.

What's the space and atmosphere like?

The space is spacious and comfortable ~ cozy, warm vibe. There's a restroom too, which made it easy to relax, haha. All the staff and the owner were so kind and friendly.

At this solo drinking bar in Seoul, Yahwa Sillim, flipping through the guestbook left by other visitors is quite fun ~ sipping a delicious cocktail while paging through it gives you little bursts of dopamine, lol. Of course, I didn't write anything myself, just looked, haha.

Snack review: truffle potato chips, pineapple sherbet, cinnamon orange

The truffle potato chips are always delicious, haha. Salty, savory, crispy, with that truffle aroma — perfect as a beer snack ~ the kind you keep reaching for with a beer.

This place is a pineapple sherbet gem ~ best sherbet I've had 👍🏻 The texture is so soft it doesn't give you brain freeze, so you just keep scooping it up with a spoon, total charm bomb!!

The orange dusted with cinnamon powder was sweet and refreshing, haha. Ordered two and ate them right up ~ I was craving dessert after dinner and this new cinnamon orange menu item hit the spot, plated so prettily and ready to eat, so I enjoyed it thoroughly ~

The bourbon cocktail and Midori Sour, my first time trying either

The bourbon cocktail is a mix of melon and coconut flavors, where the melon taste and the coconut sweetness balance each other out, and it was totally my thing !! I'm actually into sweet-and-refreshing flavors, so it suited me well, haha. I love coconut so it was delicious. Makes me want to go back to Vietnam, the land of coconuts ~

After thoroughly eating and drinking through the snacks and cocktails, I chatted away with the older sisters and brothers there. The sisters kept telling me my skin looked great and so fair, saying they were jealous, which made me blush, haha. Some people there worked in broadcasting, so I got to hear stories about my favorite, BTS's Jin, and had such a fun time !! And apparently there's a guy there — small face, fair skin, insane features — who's like a unicorn, haha.

My skin, which got tanned in Nha Trang, is finally recovering, thank goodness !! 👍🏻 It got so dark it felt like my ethnicity had changed, which was rough, but it's slowly coming back, thank goodness. It's taken almost a year?? Not 100% back yet so I'll keep waiting. Going forward I'm definitely packing long sleeves for Southeast Asia trips and slathering on sunscreen, haha. (Yes, me, the person who will never say 'I'm not traveling again').

Cocktails are just — whatever they are ~ the visuals are amazing, the colors are so pretty, haha.

The Midori Sour feels like a melon-flavored melon-ade kind of vibe, haha. Tastes like a soft drink so it goes down easy ~

The bourbon cocktail's visuals are so pretty, lol. Cherry on top and dried orange too ~ looks so tasty, haha. First time trying this cocktail and it was so good ~ sweet, tangy, happy flavor, you know?? Personally I liked the bourbon cocktail better. Coconut for the win ~ I'm slowly discovering the charm of cocktails. Highly recommend this Sillim solo drinking bar, Yahwa Sillim ~ 💜💗
