Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a sushi and seafood buffet in Nowon, Seoul. My family visited for dinner and enjoyed sushi, sashimi, LA galbi, waffles, and Dippin’ Dots in one place. Verdict: a convenient choice for a family meal when everyone wants a little of everything.

Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and what about parking?
This time, I’m sharing my visit to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch with my family for dinner.
The Nowon branch is on the sixth floor of Seoul Oncheon Building. If you’re taking public transportation, it’s fairly close to Nowon Station, and you can simply take the elevator once you enter the building. 🛗
If you’re driving, you can use the Seoul Oncheon Building parking lot. I heard the entrance is at the back of the building, so it’s useful to know that in advance. 🚘
Parking at Seoul Oncheon Building is free for 2 hours, which made it nice for a family meal. Just note that the lot can be crowded or full on weekends and public holidays. If it’s full, you’ll need to use a nearby paid lot on your own. +) New Carnival vehicles cannot park.
There was a nicely arranged waiting area at the entrance, and the restrooms were fairly clean too. You may have to wait if you walk in at peak time, so I recommend making a reservation if possible!
Inside the restaurant and dining time
Once inside, the bright, comfortable atmosphere of natural wood and white tones immediately caught my eye. ✨
More than anything, the restaurant is really spacious, so it didn’t feel cramped at all even for a family visit. 👍🏻
Looking around further, I saw that the space is over 300 pyeong and has plenty of room for groups, so there were lots of students visiting together too. 🏫 +) The standard dining time is 2 hours, but it is limited to 1 hour 30 minutes when there are guests waiting!
Draft beer and hot food
Now, let’s really look around~~ The first thing I spotted was the draft beer machine. 🍻

They serve Terra and Kelly draft beer, not Filite, and apparently you can get unlimited draft beer free—normally worth ₩5,900—when you write a review! Such a sweet little event for anyone who loves draft beer with a meal~ 🍯
Hot food

Past the draft beer, there was a whole stretch of hot food—gamjatang fried rice, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and sundae (Korean blood sausage), and more. The LA galbi (Korean-style grilled beef short ribs) was especially delicious to me. 😋
Right beside it were chili shrimp, cream shrimp, mala shrimp? So many shrimp dishes that this shrimp lover was drooling. 🤤

There was gorgonzola, pepperoni, and corn pizza too. I love dipping gorgonzola pizza in honey, so I had it twice. 🍯 The oil vongole pasta had a nice spicy kick—good~ And the crab tomalley pasta was a special treat too. 🦀

And then BBQ ribs, one of the stars of any buffet! What more can I say? They were even better served warm.

There were lamb chops and smoky pork shoulder too. 🍗 The lamb chops, in particular, had a tender texture and their distinctive flavor, and they are available all day. 🙆🏻♀️

Smoked duck is also a newly launched item, available at weekday dinner and on weekends and public holidays. ✔️

Right next to that were steamed blue crab and shrimp. 🦐 Land, sea, and air were all gathered here ^_^

There were no fewer than four made-to-order dishes—jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), udon, and cold soba—and even the encroute soup my mom always has. Love it~
Upgraded sushi and fresh Norwegian salmon sashimi

The sushi has been upgraded too. The fish portions on the flounder and salmon sushi are larger than before, apparently, so you can really feel the presence of the fish in one bite. 🍣

The shrimp sushi also uses botan shrimp to bring out even more shrimp flavor! And roll lovers, don’t worry—there are tons of different rolls too.
Sashimi and seafood
This was one of the corners I was looking forward to most. 🤩 Fresh Norwegian salmon sashimi! 🐟 It’s available at weekday dinner and on weekends and public holidays, and salmon lovers like me absolutely have to try it~!! It’s honestly the same quality as a specialty restaurant, haha. +) There’s tuna, marinated crab, and soy-marinated shrimp too.
Salads and drinks
Still, it would be a shame to skip the salad corner, right? 🥗 There were so many custom toppings, including yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), smoked salmon, and Cajun salad.
Soda comes as standard! I liked that there were zero-sugar options too, plus a whopping 12 herbal teas, 3 juices, ube latte, and 4 kinds of slushies. 🫢
Desserts, from waffles to bingsu

One of Kuu Kuu’s signatures: waffles. 🧇 Plus bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and chocolate fondue~ 🍫
Ice cream

Apparently, Dippin’ Dots, which used to be available for weekday dinner and weekends only, can now be enjoyed at weekday lunch too. Since it’s something kids especially love, it would be nice to visit during school holidays or for a family meal. ^_^

Four Dippin’ Dots flavors seem like plenty, but there are also 7 regular ice cream flavors. 🍨
By this point I felt like I might burst, but I still couldn’t give up fruit. 🥹 I was full, but there was watermelon, melon, oranges, mango, apples, bananas, Korean melon, and more. 🍎🍈🍌 Every piece was neatly cut for an easy bite~
And truly, really lastly: crêpe cake, jelly, cream puffs, rice cakes, doughnuts, and pie... 🤣 What an incredible meal out, haha.
What we put on our plates for family dinner
For my first plate, I started with the sushi, sashimi, and meats that appealed to me most. 🍽️

I ate enough thick fresh salmon to last me a while, and all the different sushi was delicious too~ The scene of putting less and less on my plate as time went on... haha. The LA galbi was so good that I went back for it several times, and I ate all the watermelon and Dippin’ Dots I couldn’t possibly skip—enough that I probably won’t crave them for a while. 🤤
A family dinner solved in one place
This time we visited as a family meal out, and we could try a little of many different things. It was so convenient to take care of both dinner and dessert in one sitting~ I think my family will come back again for our next meal out. :)
