Yeoju IC dakgalbi takeout deal and bibim makguksu: Seorak Makguksu
In short
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch is a large Chuncheon-style dakgalbi (grilled chicken) restaurant in Yeoju, Gyeonggi, 5 to 8 minutes by car from Yeoju Premium Outlets. On a Thursday at 7:30pm the meal for two came to 51,000 won for one serving each of charcoal and soy sauce dakgalbi plus bibim makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles) and jeonbyeong (crispy kimchi pancake), and an opening takeout discount added 2 more servings for 20,000 won. At Seorak Makguksu the noodles stole the show, eaten even more than the dakgalbi itself.

ft. writing this after our manager left haha

My partner and I were originally headed to the Prada store at Yeoju Premium Outlets, but the waitlist was closed, so we ended up just going to Yeoju to eat instead lol. Still, we ate SO well, so here's my review of this dakgalbi restaurant near Yeoju Outlets. Spoiler: 100% would go back! And the twist nobody saw coming — the makguksu (buckwheat noodles) totally stole the show haha.
Where is Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch, and what are the hours?
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch is located at 483 Sejong-ro, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Hours are 11:30–21:30, with a break time from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, closed every Tuesday. The entrance to the parking lot can be a bit confusing, so drive slowly and watch for the sign!

Hours 11:30–21:30 / Break time 3:30pm–4:30pm / Closed every Tuesday
It's about 3.5km from Yeoju Premium Outlets, a 5-8 minute drive. Walking would take an hour lol. Since most people drive to the outlets anyway, it's basically no big deal!

Parking and atmosphere: no wait at 7:30pm on a Thursday
Maybe because of the location, they have a dedicated parking lot right in front that's huge — enough for 20+ cars. We showed up a bit late, around 7:30pm on a Thursday, and there was no wait, though there were several other tables of guests.
The restaurant was very spacious and the interior was really clean. Chuncheon-style dakgalbi is grilled over charcoal rather than on the flat griddle style we usually eat, which normally means a lot of smoke, but every table had its own smoke hood installed, so the whole place felt comfortable. With 22+ tables seating four each, this is a Chuncheon dakgalbi spot that can easily handle group visits.

The menu and our order for two: 51,000 won in total
Let's take a look at the menu~~

There are two types of dakgalbi, charcoal and soy sauce, and you can order single servings, so we got one of each. And of course you can't do Chuncheon dakgalbi without makguksu haha, so we also ordered bibim makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles), plus the jeonbyeong (crispy pancake) I love. We were curious about the pine nut broth makguksu too, but our stomachs had a limit, so sadly we skipped it ㅠㅠ
Everything came to ₩51,000, which is pretty reasonable for two people eating Chuncheon dakgalbi these days. Ever since the recent controversy over hygiene issues with Chinese-made kimchi, I've developed a habit of always checking the country of origin at restaurants. This place uses domestic kimchi! When a restaurant skips Chinese kimchi for Korean-made, it tells you they care about hygiene — that builds trust.

They're also running a Naver receipt review event, so write a review and grab a freebie!!

Side dishes at Seorak Makguksu, starting with icy dongchimi
The basic sides include lettuce, garlic, gochujang (red pepper paste), radish salad, pickled perilla leaves, and yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), plus dongchimi (watery radish kimchi) served with mustard soy sauce and cabbage. As you can see in the photo, the dongchimi had icy slush floating in it, so it was super refreshing. When it's that icy, the radish inside gets extra crunchy and delicious. We finished the dongchimi before the dakgalbi even arrived lol.

Opening takeout discount: 16,000 won a serving, 2 servings to go for 20,000 won
Since it seems like a fairly new restaurant, they're running an opening takeout discount too. It's ₩16,000 per serving, but takeout is 2 servings for ₩20,000 — you'd basically be crazy not to get some to go, right? So we packed up 2 servings to take home.

Jeonbyeong, charcoal dakgalbi, and the surprise star: bibim makguksu
They brought out the jeonbyeong (crispy pancake) first so we wouldn't be waiting around while the dakgalbi grilled. It came fresh off the pan, crispy and piping hot~~

You know that slightly chewy texture of aged kimchi? It had that, a little spicy, and packed full inside.

Finally, the Chuncheon dakgalbi arrives! They said it comes pre-cooked once, so it just needs a little more grilling. The rice cake skewers came 5 per 2 servings as a default too~
It was so nice having the staff grill everything for us haha. Once it's done, they lift the pan slightly like this so the dakgalbi stays warm without burning while you eat!
Then the makguksu came out!!! This noodle dish is something else, seriously.

It looks like your average makguksu at first glance...? Nope, total misconception. I'm super sensitive to saltiness — I don't even add salt to bone broth soup — so I expected it to just be a normal makguksu. But I ended up eating more of this than the dakgalbi lol. And it's not like it's bland either. The first bite hits with this 'wait, what is that scent?' moment, and then it suddenly fades away, leaving sesame oil and that flour-noodle (?) smell — and honestly I missed that first scent once it was gone. It's the kind of flavor that keeps pulling you back in lol.

The dakgalbi seemed to be all thigh meat too — so tender, what a mix!!

Wrapped up with perilla leaf, garlic, and cabbage in mustard sauce, it's seriously so good...

Near Namyeoju Country Club, with a Golfzon simulator inside
While we were getting full and looking around, I spotted a Golfzon (golf simulator) lol. The owner is clearly serious about golf. I noticed it when he was ringing us up — he was wearing a Titleist cap.

This place is near Namyeoju Country Club, so I guess a lot of golfers stop by here.

Look how golden brown and juicy that looks!!!!

Grilling over charcoal gives it that smoky flavor, so this Chuncheon dakgalbi has a different charm from the flat-griddle version. You can also get more of the basic side dishes at the self-serve bar.

Twisted donuts, nurungji, and 15% off with Mom Mom membership
They also sell twisted donuts and nurungji (scorched rice snacks)~ It seems like large restaurants out in the suburbs always sell snacks like this haha. Perfect for munching on in the car on the way home as dessert. I've been eating nurungji at work lately for breakfast, and when I mentioned it to my partner, he decided he wanted some too, so we bought a bag lol.

Mom Mom membership members get 15% off, so if you're bringing the kids out to Yeoju, definitely stop by! The owner also had a designated driver service business card on hand — a nice touch, probably for golfers doing a round nearby~~ lol
Is Seorak Makguksu in Yeoju worth a stop? Final verdict
A comfortable, large-scale Chuncheon dakgalbi restaurant that can handle group visits — and a hidden makguksu gem
