The basic table setting included clear soup, salad, and sundubu (soft tofu). Once the salmon salad, sushi, and ramen arrived, there was more food than expected.

How were the 16 pieces of sushi and salmon salad for two?

The sushi included several types, such as tuna, salmon, shrimp, flounder, and scallop. It was fine for two people to share, and both the condition of the fish and the amount of rice felt right. The quality was fairly consistent across the varieties, so we enjoyed it.

The salmon salad served alongside it was fresh and made for a refreshing palate cleanser between bites of sushi. Eating only sushi could become a little repetitive, but the salad paired well with it.

How filling was the set ramen, and how was the added shrimp tempura?

Ramen chosen as the noodle dish in the sushi set

Since the ramen was included in the set, I expected a small portion, but it was quite generous. It had plenty of bean sprouts for crunch, and the broth was rich and full-bodied. The chashu made it satisfying, too.

Sipping the warm ramen broth between bites of sushi worked well. The added shrimp tempura was large and arrived freshly fried, with a pleasant crisp texture.

What stayed with me from this meal was the sushi’s consistent quality and the ramen’s rich broth. With the salmon salad and shrimp tempura as well, we could share a range of dishes, making it a filling meal for two.
