Why are the noodles green at Hwangbihong in Iksan's Busong-dong?
Hwangbihong is a Chinese restaurant at 43 Busong-ro 6-gil in Busong-dong, Iksan, and the noodles here are green. Why? Chives. Chives!! They knead these fresh every single day. Impressive, right...?
I really found a true Iksan gem. With all that care — the cauldron and everything — Hwangbihong's jjamppong broth is thick and rich, absolutely mind-blowing. You have to go.
Honestly, this is by far the best Chinese restaurant I've been to recently. The care that goes into it puts it in the top ten in Jeolla, no — in the whole country.
If you're traveling around Jeollabuk-do — Iksan, Gunsan, Jeonju, Buan — you absolutely have to try Hwangbihong, Iksan's signature jjamppong spot. I'm planning to go back myself haha.
