This time I wanted to try a slightly different take on Korean food in Seongsu, so I went to Out of Order! It felt a bit different from the Korean food I usually eat, so I was curious — and both the food and the vibe looked great, so I went in with high expectations haha.

Second floor near Seongsu Station: inside and outside Out of Order
Out of Order is tucked into an alley in Seongsu, and right from the entrance it felt different from a typical restaurant! It had a clean yet hip feel that matched the Seongsu neighborhood really well haha.

Once inside, it was bigger than I expected, with an overall clean and stylish atmosphere! There were both table seats and bar seats, so it seemed like a good spot for a date or a gathering too ~

Out of Order menu, QR ordering and the receipt review freebie
Here's the menu at Out of Order! Looking through it, a lot of the dishes reinterpret familiar Korean ingredients in a new way haha. They also had a variety of drinks prepared to go along with the food!!

You order directly using the QR code placed on each table! It was convenient not having to call a staff member over haha.

Also, if you write a Naver receipt review, you get a tiramisu as a free extra! We ate our food, wrote the review, and made sure to grab the dessert too lol.
What we ordered at Out of Order and what it cost
- Three-color crispy lasagna - ₩24,000
- (Lunch only) Snow-white kimchi fried rice - ₩16,000
- Grilled alba cabbage - ₩14,000
When everything we ordered came out at once, the table was packed and beautifully set! From the three-color crispy lasagna to the kimchi fried rice to the grilled alba cabbage, every single dish looked different from the usual ♥

A yuzu radish pickle came out as a default side, and it was refreshing with a subtle sweetness that was great to eat between bites! It went especially well with the richer dishes haha.
Three-color crispy lasagna, 24,000 won: peeling it layer by layer

First up was the three-color crispy lasagna! It looked so different from a normal lasagna that I was curious how you were even supposed to eat it 🤤

Turns out you don't eat this lasagna all at once — you peel off the stacked layers one by one! You really get that crispy texture, and it was fun to eat lol.

I dipped it generously in the sauce, and once the sauce hit that crispy lasagna, the flavor really came alive! It felt totally different from the lasagna I'm used to, which was fascinating haha.
Lunch-only snow-white kimchi fried rice, 16,000 won: breaking the yolk

Next was the snow-white kimchi fried rice! True to its name, it looked like it was tucked under a white blanket, and it was so fascinating the moment I saw it haha.
But looking closer, there was a yolk hiding just under the surface of the kimchi fried rice! The moment you break it, the yolk spreads out slowly — it would look even better as a video haha.

I tried the kimchi fried rice plain first, then mixed in with the broken yolk! Adding the yolk brought out a soft, nutty flavor, and personally I liked it much more mixed together ~
Grilled baby napa cabbage (albaechu), 14,000 won: sweeter off the grill

I also tried the grilled alba cabbage (baby napa cabbage)! I hadn't really had alba cabbage served as a grilled dish before, so I was quite looking forward to this one too ~ Grilling it seemed to bring out the cabbage's sweetness even more, which I loved haha.

The grilled alba cabbage was cut into easy-to-eat pieces, so I dipped it generously in the sauce! The soft, sweet cabbage paired with the sauce worked better than I expected ~~
Chestnut tiramisu, the Naver receipt review dessert

And here's the tiramisu I got from the receipt review! It looked so soft from the start that I figured it would be the perfect way to finish the meal haha.

It wasn't just a regular tiramisu either — it was packed with chestnut inside, so you could really taste that nutty, sweet chestnut flavor!! It was cold and soft, which made it the perfect palate cleanser to end the meal 😍

On the way out, they even had candy waiting! That little extra touch right up to the end left me leaving in a good mood haha.
Is Out of Order worth it for fusion Korean food in Seongsu-dong?
This visit to Out of Order was more fun precisely because it felt so different from the Korean food I usually eat! The three-color crispy lasagna was especially fun to peel apart layer by layer and had great crispy texture, and the snow-white kimchi fried rice was so unique-looking that it really stuck with me haha. Adding the grilled alba cabbage on top meant every dish had a completely different charm, so there was fun in picking and choosing between them!
Finishing off with the chestnut tiramisu at the end made the whole meal, from food to dessert, feel really complete ♥ If you want to try a slightly different kind of fusion Korean food in Seongsu instead of the usual dishes, this place is worth a visit :)
