Suwon bagel café taste ranking: Laugen No.1 at Orange Bagel

I've been completely obsessed with Laugen bagels lately, so I searched and searched for a good spot near Hwaseong Bongdam in Suwon and ended up at Orange Bagel :-) Actually this is a café I've been going to for ages whenever I wanted bagels. These days it's gotten even more popular, and even though they open early... every time I go, even in the morning, it's already crowded ☆

Parking at Orange Bagel in Suwon

Since Orange Bagel is a standalone building, there's a spacious dedicated parking lot right in front, and the parking lines themselves are wide, so it was really convenient haha. The building itself is huge and gorgeous, right? It's not just 'large' in name — it doesn't even fit in one photo! It's pretty enough from the outside alone to recommend as a bakery café worth visiting in Gyeonggi-do.

Inside the three floors of Orange Bagel

On the 1st floor of Orange Bagel you can browse various goods and order bagels, and going up to the 2nd floor there are tables with all kinds of different concepts. And go up one more floor and there's even a rooftop? The moment you walk in, colorful goods greet you. Every space is decorated really nicely.

From indoor seats that feel like an outdoor terrace, to plush sofa seats that feel like a music bar, and of course group tables too! A wide open space is a given here. Both the table shapes and the chair designs are so pretty that I kept going 'should I sit here? oh that spot's nice too, let's sit there~' and ended up just sitting wherever, haha.

From simple flavors to cream and all sorts of toppings — there are just so many kinds!!! But the ones I really want to recommend from Orange Bagel are the Laugen bagel and the corn bagel ♥

The bread surface is so soft and pillowy, like a baby's bottom, that I honestly wanted to try one of every flavor! But the bagels themselves are so dense and big that you get full fast and can't eat too many haha. So every time I come to this Hwaseong Bongdam-area café, I make sure to try a different flavor.

Is the coffee at Orange Bagel any good?

Oh, and I found the coffee at Orange Bagel really tasty too. True to the name, there's Orange Breeze, Orange Latte, and even Orange Bianco, all with orange in them~ I love the sweet, juicy bite of real orange pulp. If you like distinctive coffee, this is a great spot to visit on a drive! It's also one of the biggest cafés around the outskirts of Seoul. Great photo spots are a given here too, haha.

Why the Laugen bagel ranked first

What do I do when everything I pick is delicious...? The Laugen bagel has a sweet, chewy bread with soft, nutty butter inside, plus a light sprinkle of salt on top — that's the perfect sweet-and-salty point! The whole combination is insanely good...♥ It was the best Laugen bagel I've ever had.

Can you see the thick layer of butter, hehe? A whole slab fits in there and it's genuinely delicious. Even I, who isn't a big butter person, ended up making this bread my absolute favorite?! I'm officially declaring it a must-order at Orange Bagel,,

Can you see how olives are piled generously on top? On top of that, the bread itself being so chewy is amazing too. The corn bagel has this really tasty sweet corn cream. The little pop of corn kernels is great too — 2nd place!! But wait, the scallion cream bacon is also so good... I'll give them both 2nd place together, haha. Rich, sweet cream cheese + salty bacon + scallions that cut the richness and complete the flavor, all packed in :-) You really can't go wrong with any pick.

Reheating bagels and the self-packing bags

Oh right, if you want to eat your bagel even warmer, Orange Bagel can reheat it for you, and if you have leftovers, you can self-pack them too. Having self-packing bags available is so nice. When you pick all the flavors you want, you end up with way too much bread haha, so cutting each one in half to share and packing the rest is perfect!

I loved it so much that another day I packed a Laugen bagel to go and ate it at the movie theater instead of popcorn, haha. Ah, this flavor really never gets old, it's so good... Let's all experience this flavor together!! You can walk there from Gosaek or Omokcheon, and it's also very close to Hwaseong Bongdam, hehe.
