Songpa café with free parking, Einspänner and lemonade: Sese Coffee
In short
Sese Coffee Songni-dan-gil is a roastery café in Songpa, Seoul, one block inside Songni-dan-gil and 260m from Songpanaru Station Exit 4. A stop 30 minutes before closing brought an Einspänner, a lemonade and a lemon pound cake: the cream was rich and nutty, and the lemonade was less sweet than expected, which suited it. With free parking behind the building, Sese Coffee works as an easy neighborhood rest stop, even by car.

Sese Coffee, a roastery café in Jamsil. A Songni-dan-gil roastery café where the owner roasts the beans in-house, full of an expert's careful touch. A cozy, comfortable date spot. I stopped by 30 minutes before closing, and while I wished I could've stayed longer, I had a relaxing cup of tea and want to share how I wrapped up my day.

What Sese Coffee feels like 30 minutes before closing
I came to the café 30 minutes before it closed. I'd eaten nearby and thought of coffee, so I dropped by Sese Coffee for a drink. In the evening, with the soft lighting and warm wood tones, the space felt calm and comfortable. I think it was actually the quiet evening mood that drew me in.

There are seats set up on both sides of the café entrance, so when the weather's nice, you can sit outside comfortably. It's tucked one block in from the main road, so there isn't much traffic, making the outdoor seats easy to use too. Whatever space you want, for as long as you want..... Sese Coffee is a resting-spot kind of place you can drop into comfortably.

Clean but rough-textured cement walls, wood-toned walls, tables, and floors, accents of green plants. Sese Coffee has an atmosphere that feels urban and comfortable at the same time.

The view outside through the window feels different from the café itself. Cozy and quiet, and I liked it. Maybe it felt extra cozy because I came near closing time, but if I lived in the neighborhood, I think I'd stop by often while passing through^^

The in-house roasting room and bar table at Sese Coffee
Sese Coffee, a roastery café in Jamsil. One side of the café has a full glass wall so you can see the whole interior — a space where you can feel just how serious they are about coffee. Roasting coffee means putting green beans through a roaster to bring out flavor and aroma, until they become brittle enough to grind into the coffee we drink — an important process that needs frequent checking, care, and attention, and at Sese Coffee, the owner does it all personally... Maybe that's why the neighborhood regulars seem to come by so comfortably. A Songni-dan-gil roastery café I want to keep to myself — quiet, comfortable, cozy, and serving properly good coffee!

You can watch the coffee being brewed from the bar table too. Comfortable whether you come alone or together.

Menu and the three beans you can choose at Sese Coffee
At Sese Coffee you can choose your espresso beans from three types: Dosisaenghwal, Lovers, and Decaf. The menu is written on yellowish kraft paper and held down with round stones — why is that so charming? The table has bean descriptions laid out too, giving curious guests something to look at. If there's a bean you want, just pick it and say so! There's an explanation of the bean options, portions, and flavor notes, so you learn things about the coffee you couldn't tell just from the name, and it made me curious about the taste. You don't have to read it, but you end up reading it anyway lol Write a Naver review and you'll get an Americano coupon, so make use of that~

Tiramisu, levain cookie, pound cake (lemon, hazelnut vanilla, chocolate chip). The lineup is simple but tasty. Since they're handmade desserts made with good ingredients, you can taste the buttery richness and nuttiness. Levain cookie? What even is that?? It's a rich, dense cookie loaded with chocolate chips, walnuts, and cream berries. From the look of it I thought it was a chocolate chip cookie, but I ended up ordering the clean-tasting lemon pound cake instead — wish I'd tried it too^^; One step behind, as usual lol

How the Einspänner, lemonade and lemon pound cake tasted
Einspänner & lemonade & lemon pound cake

Einspänner
Taste the thickly piled cream first, then stir the coffee and milk together~ Scooping up a big spoonful of the rich cream, it was soft and nutty! I kept spooning more and more — it's addictive. It had been a while since I'd had one, so it tasted even better. A coffee for when you're craving sweet, smooth cream! I was curious about the bean flavors, but today's pick was the Einspänner^^

Lemonade
My other half's pick, since he can't drink coffee. Sweet, tangy, and refreshing.

A big chunk of lemon 🍋 bobbing around. A cool drink that kept its full lemon aroma right to the last sip. My other half, who likes sweet drinks, might have found it lacking in sugar, but I actually preferred that it wasn't too sweet — I liked being able to taste the natural lemon flavor in this lemonade. 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

Lemon pound cake
I thought it was a financier, but it's a pound cake! Much bigger than a financier, smaller than a regular pound cake. Was I craving something tangy today? I didn't mean to, but after ordering it felt like instinct? lol lol
Moist and not too sweet. I love that a dessert isn't overly sweet lol A clean, mellow lemon flavor with more depth than I expected, the kind you end up eating slowly — I recommend this lemon pound cake, a Songni-dan-gil café dessert!!!
My other half and I had a good meal and made time for a café visit for once, taking a little break from everyday life. With a nice atmosphere and good food, there's always more to talk about^^ Leave a piece of your day at Sese Coffee, a roastery café in Jamsil~
