Seoul Station sandwich shop running-record coffee discount: Dance

I went back to Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station, the sandwich place near Seoul Station. I'd actually been before, and this was a revisit haha ^_^ It's near my office so it's great for lunch.

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station isn't a standalone shop — it's set up open, food-court style. Personally that's a slight downside haha... but it is spacious.

Seating at 1pm on a weekday, and the two-person tables

So the seating is open-plan too! Before there weren't even any 1-2 person tables, but now there are about 4 two-person tables, plus quite a few 4-person tables. Even groups could probably push tables together.

I arrived a bit after 1pm, past the weekday lunch peak, so plenty of seats were open — but during peak hours it looked like it would fill right up.

You order at the kiosk. The all-day menu, aside from seasonal items, is up on the menu board here — basic sandwiches, baguette varieties, coffee menu, and brunch set menus.

The kiosk has photos too, so it's easier to choose. This fall's seasonal items are the fig matcha baguette (₩16,900) and fig pistachio baguette (₩18,900). Honestly though, even if they use good ingredients, the price feels a bit steep haha.

So I gave up on the seasonal menu early on. Now, what should I actually order today — which sandwich?! There's the basic baguette sandwich, chicken breast, jambon jalapeño, egg potato, tuna jalapeño, grilled cheese sandwich, and more.

Sides, and the 3,500-won coffee set upgrade

As for sides — there's a newly released scone and mushroom cream soup, and any sandwich menu item can become a coffee set for +₩3,500. (Coffee alone is ₩4,500, so that's a ₩1,000 discount!)

Fitting for a shop selling healthy sandwiches, there's even a sugar-free vanilla bean latte, so you can pick coffee to your taste! That day I ordered the chicken breast sandwich set (sandwich + iced Americano, ₩15,400). FYI, when ordering a sandwich you can choose baguette or ciabatta.

Show a 2km running record, get 1,000 won off coffee

An event that didn't exist before! Show a running record of 2km or more and you get ₩1,000 off coffee. It really does seem like more and more places are offering discounts for showing running records like this these days.

I sneaked a peek at the cod roe baguette by the register before heading to my seat. I realized while taking photos that I didn't get a shot of the baguette menu — they sell chocolate baguette too!

How does the chicken breast sandwich taste? The baguette texture is the key

The chicken breast sandwich (₩11,900 alone). Maybe because there were a lot of delivery and takeout orders, it took about 15 minutes to come out. Guess that's what makes it a real Seoul Station sandwich spot...?

Before I even get to what's inside — you can trust Dance Dance Dance's baguette. Contents aside, the baguette itself is seriously crisp and nutty and so good haha

They packed it generously with chicken breast and cranberries tossed in whole grain mustard, and it was so good...! It goes so well with the baguette too!!!

And I had Dance Dance Dance's coffee for the first time that day — it's crazy good! Can you see that crema in the photo? You can just tell they're using good beans, right?

Verdict: worth a trip to Seoul Station if you love baguette

The basic baguette sandwich I had before was already a texture powerhouse, and this chicken breast baguette sandwich... the combo of crisp, fresh baguette sandwich with iced Americano... unforgettable.

If you love baguette or love sandwiches, you really won't be disappointed here — definitely worth a visit! It opens at 7am, so it'd also be great for a weekend brunch.
