I found this place while looking for somewhere to grab lunch near Seoul Station on a weekend. I had to catch the KTX that day, and the timing was too tight to sit and eat leisurely at a restaurant. So I went looking for something I could take out and eat on the train.

That's how I found Dance Dance Dance, a baguette sandwich specialist! I actually took it out and ate it on the KTX — a single sandwich was quite filling, and the baguette's texture was great too. I was very satisfied!!!

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station sits on basement level 3 of Grand Central. It's easy to get to — about a 1-minute walk from Seoul Station Exit 4. Dance Dance Dance made its name with its flagship store in Hannam-dong.

I worried it might be hard to find given the basement 3 location, but it's actually in an open-plan food court area.

There are plenty of tables out front, and it doesn't have that stuffy underground feeling at all.

It's a space where even travelers pulling suitcases can sit comfortably and eat.

You order at the kiosk in front of the store.

There's quite a variety of sandwiches — hot ham and cheese, chicken breast, jambon jalapeño, pulled pork, grilled cheese, egg potato, and more. Prices range roughly from 8,900 won to 16,900 won.

You can swap the baguette for ciabatta. If you like a crispy, chewy baguette, stick with that; if you want something softer and doughier, ciabatta might be the way to go.

After some deliberation I picked the tuna jalapeño sandwich. It's 11,900 won. I'd had a jambon sandwich recently, so tuna was calling to me that day. You can swap the bread for ciabatta, but I ordered it on the regular baguette.

Cooking starts as soon as you order, so it's nice that you get it warm.

I also ordered an iced Americano to go with it.

The Americano is 4,500 won. I originally wanted a latte, but they only had oat milk lattes, so I went with the plain iced Americano instead.

While looking around the store I spotted scones too. Plain scones are 3,900 won and chocolate chip scones are 4,400 won. I ordered a plain scone as well.

It was nice that there was more than just sandwiches — simple snack and dessert options too.

There's even a cod roe baguette where they grill the cod roe fresh and spread it on. I also spotted a chocolate baguette, a Dubai chocolate item, jambon pistachio baguette, and honey butter baguette.

There are more dessert-leaning items too, like a pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette — I'm curious to try those next time.

KTX takeout: best eaten within 30 minutes

I took mine out and ate it on the KTX that day. The takeout box is adorable — the mascot looks like a strong cat, drawn in a somewhat rough style, but it was so cute.

Since the sandwiches are made to order, they're labeled as tasting best within 30 minutes of purchase.

If you can't eat it right away, refrigerate it or keep it somewhere cool.

They say it tastes even better if you warm it in an air fryer for about 3 minutes before eating.

I ate the tuna jalapeño sandwich while waiting for the KTX.

First of all, the tuna is genuinely packed in there.

The filling feels generous, so the tuna flavor really comes through with the first bite. Despite how much tuna mayo there was, it wasn't as heavy or greasy as I expected.

There's jalapeño inside, plus wasabi mayo, which cuts through the heaviness of the tuna.

With the nuttiness of the cheddar cheese added in, it was a combination that suited summer appetites well. The baguette is crispy on the outside and moist yet chewy inside.

It's not a baguette so hard it's a chore to eat — the texture works well for a sandwich. The tuna filling is generous enough that one sandwich alone is quite filling.

Paired with the Americano, it cleaned up the nutty flavor nicely — I liked the drink pairing too.

What sets this place apart from a typical sandwich shop is that it combines proper meal sandwiches with more dessert-oriented baguettes. If you're hungry, go for a meal sandwich; if you want something lighter, pick a dessert baguette.

There's also a Dance Brunch Set — add 3,500 won to the sandwich price and it comes with coffee and soup.

From 11am to 2pm is peak time, so solo diners are advised to use shared tables.

Group orders are also available. You need to contact them at least 2-3 days in advance, and it's prepaid. Long-distance delivery is possible via courier, at the customer's expense.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat near Seoul Station on a weekend, this is a solid choice. Plenty of restaurants around Seoul Station close on weekends, but this one stays open.

It's a good option to grab before boarding the KTX, or for a simple meal at Seoul Station in general. It's especially useful for travelers who can just grab a sandwich and hop straight on the train. New baguettes come out seasonally too — corn in summer, fig and pistachio in fall, and later on, matcha chocolate.

I heard the pistachio and Dubai matcha items are popular too, so I'm planning to try the dessert baguette side next time.

Overall verdict

Eating it on the KTX turned out to be a pretty good takeout experience.

The tuna was generously portioned so the sandwich felt substantial, and the baguette was crispy yet moist — plenty for a full meal. Best of all, it's close to Seoul Station Exit 4 and open on weekends, which is convenient.

If your timing is too tight to eat in-store, I'd recommend taking it out and eating it on the KTX. Next time I want to try the jambon or pistachio-type baguettes instead of tuna.
