Jeonpo curry restaurant with shrimp cream half-and-half: Sarugak20

There's a curry restaurant in Jeonpo, Busan that used to be my absolute favorite. Correction — it was my absolute favorite. "Moru Sikdang," tucked in the alley near Jeonpo Catholic Church and Nolimaru.

But a few months ago... Moru Sikdang, which I thought would never disappear, disappeared. 😭

Luckily~ the owner had already opened a second branch, "Sarugak20," in advance, and now Moru Sikdang's menu is being sold at Sarugak20 too~!!

The curry that stripped away my "3-minute instant curry" mindset — let me introduce it right now!!!!

Here's the menu! It's really just curry — two main curries with several toppings.

What made me fall for Moru Sikdang's curry in the first place was the shrimp cream curry????? If you don't eat that, you haven't really been. But eating only cream might get too rich, so~~ I decided on half-and-half~!!

My boyfriend ordered the cheotdol (beef brisket) cream curry. Curry alone felt like it needed something more, so we also got the sweet potato cheese croquette on the side><

Pay upfront at the counter and they bring it to your table.

The natural light is so pretty. How is this space so full of atmosphere and warmth...

There are quite a few floor-seating tables too.

There are also 3 regular tables with chairs!

There are plenty of seats for solo diners too. If I worked nearby I feel like I'd come every day;;;;;

We sat at the bar table. Even the little basket for your bag is a nice touch~~

There's also a spot off to the side for washing your hands.

There's also an atmospheric little props corner. No need to go to a separate gift shop... postcards, bracelets, rings, bags, key rings and more — browse while you wait for your curry haha

Water is self-serve~!! There's lemon water, plus small water bottles you can carry to your table.

Zero cola appears~~ and it comes with an ice cup — that's so great~~

How the shrimp cream half-and-half and brisket cream curry taste

Now the curry arrives~♡ It comes out really fast after ordering!!

The cheotdol curry is... piled high with cheotdol (beef brisket)... looks so good...

But. If you come to Sarugak, this is what you need to order. My soul food half-and-half curry appears.

The special curry comes topped with cheese.

Start with the cream curry first, please. You need to feel that smoothness first. Then once you move to the special curry, you can basically eat curry infinitely...

The difference from Moru Sikdang is that this is a fully blended curry with no whole baby shrimp, and fried garlic is on top instead of vegetable toppings. The taste is just as delicious though><

Free rice and curry refills at Sarugak20

Why Sarugak is love: rice and curry refills are available. Not enough rice, not enough curry, or both!!!! Whatever the case, don't hesitate to ask for a refill.

It was a good meal. A place that always delivers the same result haha. Somehow the flat plate makes it feel even more tantalizing.

There was even hand cream at the sink, which was really nice.

Even the way out keeps your eyes busy.
