Family black pork dinner with kids' terrace at Jeju Healing Dwaeji
In short
Jeju Healing Dwaeji is an ocean-view black pork restaurant in Jung-mun, Seogwipo, on Jeju Island. We ordered 600g of black pork plus a half-portion extra with healing kimchi jjigae, ate on the terrace as the sunset came down, and tried all four salts, myeoljeot, and the staff's jalapeño-and-olive combo. While the meat was pre-grilled in the kitchen, our kids played at the terrace basketball hoop, making it an easy, relaxed family dinner.

When you think of Jeju Island, black pork is a must! On this Jeju trip I want to introduce Jeju Healing Dwaeji, a black pork restaurant with an absolutely amazing atmosphere. The food was great, but the view was insane… and the vibe was so good that everything about this dinner was perfect 😊 It was such a happy moment that I'd love to come back next time I'm on Jeju!

Garden tables and the terrace atmosphere
As soon as we arrived, the tables in the garden caught my eye :) The atmosphere was really lovely

This is a photo I took on the way out after finishing dinner — everyone seemed to have heard about this place and come.. everyone enjoying this feel-good Jeju black pork spot!
Jeju black pork restaurant, Jeju Healing Dwaeji tables

There are about 10 outdoor tables, plenty of room, so eating on the terrace on a nice day like this feels so good. And the drinks just keep flowing haha
The indoor seats have a sea view too
Jeju, Healing Dwaeji interior

There's outdoor seating, but the inside is also really cozy and clean! If you don't like too much wind, eating inside while looking out at the sea would be very satisfying too

As expected, it's a Jeju favorite, Jeju Healing Dwaeji. I really feel like I healed here.. I heard a lot of celebrities come too
What we ordered — one geun of black pork plus a half extra, and kimchi jjigae
This is the Jeju Healing Dwaeji menu. We don't drink wine, so instead of a set menu we ordered one geun of black pork plus a half-portion extra, along with kimchi jjigae (spicy kimchi stew) :)
Black pork, one geun (600g): ₩65,000
Thickly sliced black pork. The quality of the meat looked so good, it got me excited. It came with king oyster mushrooms and tangerines too, and it looked so pretty...! Ladies, I highly recommend this place, you'll really love it lol

A black pork restaurant with an ocean view, seriously....

Four kinds of salt and the staff's recommended combo
The side dishes came out looking clean and tidy. There are various sauces for dipping the black pork — green tea salt, prickly pear salt, garlic salt, and pepper salt, four kinds in all, so it's fun trying each one :) There was also a unique combo the staff told us about! They recommended dipping it in jalapeño and olive along with the sauce, so we tried that too

They show you the meat, then bring it out pre-grilled
At this Seogwipo black pork restaurant, Jeju Healing Dwaeji, they show you the meat first, then bring it back out pre-grilled! It's much more pleasant to wait comfortably rather than standing in front of the grill in the heat, and getting it pre-grilled made it even better~ The sunset was gradually setting over Jeju, and I was really healing at Jeju Healing Dwaeji

Soon after, the appetizing pre-grilled black pork arrived with charcoal!

Isn't it so pretty... the myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) in the middle is a nice touch too. It's a visual you can't help but photograph.

And of course, black pork wouldn't be complete without Hallasan soju, right?

Why it's good to bring kids
Look at our beautifully set-up table! Gather round, everyone~~~~ The terrace is spacious, and with a basketball hoop and ball, the kids had a great time running around lightly. Our high-energy kids ran around while the meat was pre-grilling, then came back to eat, so it tasted even better!
Healing kimchi jjigae: ₩7,000

The black pork kimchi jjigae gave a spicy, refreshing kick! It's packed with black pork inside, so you can easily polish off a whole bowl of rice with it haha

We tried it various ways with the different salts and the method the staff taught us!

In the end, my top pick is myeoljeot
But my ultimate Jeju pick is still Jeju's specialty, myeoljeot, hahaha. Jeju black pork really pairs perfectly with myeoljeot! Salty... full of flavor.. we enjoyed it so much our family ordered another half-portion ^^

They showed us the meat again like this, then pre-grilled it, and eating it all up again made for such a happy evening

Sunset, lights, and the evening terrace atmosphere
The sunset is setting,,,,,, the weather was great, the food was great, it really felt like we could fully feel that traveling feeling at this Seogwipo black pork restaurant, Jeju Healing Dwaeji!! Sitting on the terrace, the lights came on and songs from our generation (?), 90s and 2000s tunes, played, making it such a wonderfully mood-filled evening

It made me happy to see that not just us, but so many other people, seemed to be truly healing at this Seogwipo black pork restaurant, Jeju Healing Dwaeji ლ(╹◡╹ლ) If you're looking for a black pork restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju, I really hope you get to heal at Jeju Healing Dwaeji, the Jung-mun black pork restaurant!
