Jejju Donghong Branch is open daily from 10:30 to 23:00, with last order at 21:30. They use salmon they prep themselves and jjukkumi cooked with 100% smoky char — a place you can always count on for great flavor haha

Once inside, the space was really spacious~~ The tables were spaced out generously too, so I thought it would be great for visiting with family or dining with a bigger group!!

How the Seogwipo lunch box and grilled salmon cream mayo bowl taste

What I ordered at Jejju Donghong Branch were two things: the hearty Seogwipo lunch box packed with sushi, and the grilled salmon cream mayo bowl. I tried both together!!!

This lunch box is made up of jjukkumi rice bowl plus raw salmon sushi, grilled salmon sushi, and raw shrimp sushi!! One box packed with everything from rice to sushi — such a hearty spread haha Being able to eat the jjukkumi rice bowl and salmon sushi together was great when you want to enjoy a variety of flavors instead of just one dish 👍

The stir-fried jjukkumi was full of smoky flavor and the rice was delicious too, and even the soup and kimchi were on point haha The ginger, pickled shallots, and onion served alongside the sushi rounded it all out nicely ^0^

The raw salmon sushi let you really taste the smooth texture of the salmon as it is, and the grilled salmon sushi had a subtle smoky char that gave the same fish a whole different charm~~ Topping it with onion makes it even better

This is exactly why it's great for group Jeju lunch box orders!! A flavor everyone can agree on, plus a great lineup~~~

Also ordered the grilled salmon cream mayo bowl >< It's grilled salmon over rice with cream mayo sauce mixed in!! The salmon was grilled, giving it a subtle smoky char, and the soft salmon paired with the savory, creamy sauce went so well with the rice it was crazy good ㅠㅠㅠ

The cream mayo blended really well with the clean flavor of the salmon, so overall it was soft, savory, and just good haha Enjoying salmon as a hearty rice bowl instead of just sushi felt like a nice change 😭

The lunch box was satisfying of course, and the rice bowl was excellent too, making this a really great spot to eat at in Seogwipo (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
