Bangi-dong gopchang restaurant, 6 teams ahead at 5:30pm: Jinseong
In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is a Korean beef gopchang (grilled offal) restaurant on Olympic-ro 32-gil in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul. Arriving at 5:30pm on a Sunday meant 6 teams ahead and about a 20-minute wait, then gopchang, daechang and makchang, steamed egg, and kkakdugi yangbap (fried rice with radish kimchi) to finish. The fat-filled hanwoo gopchang with the restaurant's three house-made kimchi was the most memorable part of the meal.

I'd been craving gopchang (grilled beef intestines) lately, so I went with a friend to Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi in Bangi-dong. It was seriously delicious, haha.

How long is the wait at 5:30pm on a Sunday?
I got to Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi at 5:30pm on a Sunday and there was already a wait! They have you write your name down. It still moved pretty fast haha — there were 6 teams ahead and I waited about 20 minutes!
We had a proper feast with soju alongside gopchang, daechang, and makchang, and that day the beef gopchang packed with gop (intestine fat) was the most delicious and memorable, haha. The kimchi, of course, was great too!! Really tasty.

Gopchang, daechang and makchang ordered together
This time I visited Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi. My friend lives in Jamsil, so we were looking for a good spot for soju in Bangi-dong, and the menu was exactly our type.
We ordered gopchang, daechang, and makchang. It felt like a waste to order just one, so we picked all three, and each one had such a different texture and flavor that I was glad we did. If you're looking for beef gopchang in Bangi-dong, this place really suits gopchang lovers.

The three house-made kimchi at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang
Another thing I loved here was the three kinds of kimchi — green onion kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi, and altari radish kimchi, all made in-house apparently.
Since gopchang itself is savory and rich, having this house-made kimchi alongside kept it from feeling greasy, and I kept reaching for more. The green onion kimchi paired especially well with the gopchang.

How the three cuts taste different
The one I enjoyed most was, of course, the gopchang! It was packed with gop inside, so when I bit into it the savory flavor really came through. The daechang had its own distinct savory, chewy taste, and the makchang had a nice bite that was great to alternate with the gopchang.
Personally the gopchang was my favorite that day, but ordering all three together made for a much more satisfying drinking snack!

Staff grill and cut for you, plus steamed egg and sides
At Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi, they grill the gopchang for you and cut it into easy-to-eat pieces, haha. While waiting I had some steamed egg. The bean sprouts, potato, and rice cake grilled alongside were tasty too, and the chives were great as well :)

The steamed egg was soft and fluffy and delicious! Pouring a shot of soju and pairing each bite of gopchang with a bit of kimchi, the drinks just kept going down smoothly. Beef gopchang in Bangi-dong really does taste best with soju like this.

The combination of gop-packed beef gopchang and house-made kimchi was the most memorable part. With three kinds of kimchi — green onion, mustard leaf, and altari radish — you could mix and match to your taste, which was fun too haha. They grilled and cut all the gopchang for us, so we just got to eat, lol.

Finishing with kkakdugi yangbap (radish kimchi fried rice)
To finish, we also ordered kkakdugi yangbap (fried rice with radish kimchi). After gopchang, a fried rice dish is a must, right? Thanks to the kkakdugi, it had more tang and savory depth than plain fried rice, and even though I was pretty full already, I kept eating.
With gopchang, daechang, makchang, and then yangbap on top, it was a properly filling meal that day. Went out for beef gopchang in Bangi-dong and ended up cleaning up the yangbap too!

Who should eat beef gopchang in Bangi-dong?
Trying gopchang, daechang, and makchang, then finishing with kkakdugi yangbap left me really full and satisfied. It's a great place to visit when you want to eat gopchang to your heart's content with soju, so if you're searching for beef gopchang in Bangi-dong, it's worth stopping by.
Especially recommended if, like me, you enjoy pairing gopchang with kimchi! True to a beef gopchang specialty restaurant, the quality of the hanwoo (Korean beef) gopchang was great, and the price was just right, haha. Left having eaten well.
A beef gopchang spot in Bangi-dong! This was a record of properly eating everything from gopchang to yangbap at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi.
