Where is Hippy, the Jeonpo café in Seomyeon?

Hippy is on the 1st floor of 12 Dongseong-ro 25beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, 5 minutes from Jeonpo Station Exit 4. It's open from 11:00 to 22:00.

My grandmother's place is near Jeonpo, so I go there pretty often! I had a list of cafés saved up that I wanted to visit, and Hippy was one of them~

Walk into the alley and you'll spot a red brick building — that's Hippy, the Jeonpo café~~ There's a cute dog sign(?) and a mirror out front, so it's perfect for mirror selfies with a friend haha ㅎ_ㅎ

Hippy's menu lineup and tea refills

Hippy's menu ranges from coffee to non-coffee drinks to signature items, and tea drinks come with one free refill. Great news for tea lovers~

The Busan café Hippy is also recruiting franchisees! It's apparently one of Busan City's picks for 2025 as a standout dessert spot, so I guess that explains it...

Hippy's cream pies and financiers

This Jeonpo dessert spot also sells a variety of desserts! The pies especially looked so pretty and delicious.. ♥ There's such a wide range of pie flavors that there's bound to be one for your taste. I wish I only wanted one, but I had a hard time choosing among so many ㅠㅠ Besides pies, they also have financiers.

Can you throw a birthday party at Hippy?

Hippy also sells cute goods(?) and birthday party supplies. There are so many adorable birthday candles that you could totally have a birthday party here. Stick cute candles in Hippy's cute pies and it's perfect!

Hippy's seating and group reservations

This Seomyeon café Hippy has quite a lot of tables! Group reservations for 4–6 people are available, so it's great for group outings too. You could tell a lot of care went into the interior — so pretty, totally my style.. ♥

A European-style terrace

If you exit through a door other than the entrance, there's a terrace space at Hippy haha. Kind of gives off European vibes, doesn't it!? I'd gone straight to Busan after work that day so I wasn't looking my best, but if I'd looked nicer I think I could've gotten an amazing shot here ㅠㅠ

A separated private space beyond the terrace

Past Hippy's terrace, there's also a separated seating area! The little props there are so pretty too haha. It's a completely separate space, so you can spend private time with your company.

The tables are big too~ and the space felt cozy and nice! Now I get why Hippy is famous as a Jeonpo café. The café's pretty, the desserts are tasty — no reason not to go ㅋ_ㅋ

What my friend and I ordered, and the prices

• Chodang sweet corn cream pie ₩8,000
• Iced americano ₩5,000
• Matcha Hippy latte ₩7,000

Here's what we ended up ordering at Hippy! There were so many cream pie flavors that I agonized over it, but I finally went with the Chodang sweet corn cream pie haha. I was torn between the chocolate pie and the corn pie for a while.

How does the matcha Hippy latte taste?

The matcha Hippy latte is Hippy's signature coffee drink — cream on top, a bit of icy slush inside, a slightly special matcha latte! Not too bitter, not too sweet, and rich, so matcha lovers should be satisfied with this one!!

The iced americano was my friend's order, so I'll pass on that one haha. It was nice that you could switch to decaf! This Busan café Hippy does well with drinks too~_~

How does the Chodang sweet corn cream pie taste?

Hippy's Chodang sweet corn cream pie is a pastry pie crust topped with cream, with corn wrapped around the cream. It's the best pie for someone like me who loves root vegetables and grains!! Doesn't it look so cute and delicious just from the visuals haha

Since there's so much corn piled on top, it wasn't easy to cut it neatly haha. Plenty of cream, plenty of corn — I was so excited even before taking a bite ♥

And of course, the cross-section shot! Can you tell how flaky the pastry crust is.. The cream also tastes of corn, and there's corn between the cream layers for a nice popping bite — so delicious. If I lived in Busan.. I would've done a full cream pie tour of this Seomyeon dessert spot Hippy ㅠㅠ It's seriously, seriously so good!!!!!!!!!
