Where is Mellows near Ttukseom Station, and what are its hours?
Mellows is a dessert café at 1F, 7 Wangsimni-ro 10-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 7 of Ttukseom Station on Subway Line 2, so it's easy to reach without a car. Hours are Mon–Fri 07:00–20:00 and Sat–Sun 11:00–19:00.

It's the middle of the heatwave, and I'd been craving cold ice cream nonstop. I finally got back to Seongsu after a while and headed to Mellows, a café with a great vibe near Ttukseom Station. It's a perfect Seongsu café stop. Everything from the ice cream to the coffee was satisfying, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a café in Seongsu.

What are Mellows' atmosphere and seating like?
Mellows is small, but the space is used well, so there are plenty of tables, and the natural light from the big windows makes the whole place feel bright and warm. There's also an outdoor terrace, which is nice for ice cream or coffee on a good-weather day.
Last time I went in winter, and now I'm back in summer, haha. I've been so busy lately that I barely have time to get to Seongsu, which is sad, but when I did, I went straight to Mellows, my pick for a Seongsu dessert spot, haha.
Another thing I liked is that it runs as an open bar. You can watch the drinks and ice cream being made, which made me trust the place more, and it felt hygienically kept. You order easily at the kiosk next to the counter, and both dine-in and takeout are available.

What's on the menu at Mellows?
Mellows is a premium ice cream café in Seongsu with a range of soft serves plus drinks like coffee, lattes and matcha lattes. Posters for each ice cream flavor hang on the wall, which helps when you can't decide what to pick.
The inside is on the small side, and lots of customers get takeout, but sitting down to relax wasn't uncomfortable at all. We chatted so happily that we lost track of time. If you love ice cream, you'll enjoy the fun of choosing, too.

Mellows affogato
The Mellows affogato is ice cream with espresso poured over it, and as an affogato lover, I picked it again this time! Mellows ice cream plus espresso is a combo I highly recommend~~ These are just right in Seongsu when you want something cold on a hot day~

How does Mellows' Jeju matcha ice cream taste?
The matcha ice cream at Mellows is made with Jeju matcha, and what impressed me was that it had a rich matcha flavor but wasn't too bitter, just smooth. Matcha crunch is mixed in here and there, adding a crispy texture, which made it even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend it to matcha fans. Sweet ice cream plus matcha!!! If you want a different kind of dessert in Seongsu, this ice cream at Mellows is just right! After eating for a while, I mixed it all together, and the deep matcha flavor came through even stronger, so it stayed delicious to the very end. It looked really pretty too, so it was great for photos.

Sangha Farm milk ice cream with coffee
The basic milk ice cream at Mellows is said to be 100% Sangha Farm (Sangha Mokjang) ice cream, and it's delicious in a true-to-basics way. The stick cookie that comes with it is so good too~ Looks great, too!!
I thought only the desserts would be good, but the coffee was better than I expected. The iced americano was clean and refreshing, great with ice cream, and the café latte had a nicely preserved nutty richness of milk, easy for anyone to drink. Having sweet ice cream and coffee together was a really good combination. The prices weren't a burden either, so ordering dessert and a drink together left me very satisfied.

There are also peanut butter, peach and strawberry ice creams
Mellows has other ice cream options too, like peanut butter, peach and strawberry, so you can pick to your taste. Kids love these as well~ They're good for a Seongsu date, and also good to take out and eat while waiting at a pop-up nearby.

The coffee is good too! After the ice cream, we chatted and each had another coffee, and maybe because the beans are high quality, it tasted even better? We even had a cold iced americano.

Is Mellows worth visiting in both summer and winter?
Mellows ice cream is just right for midsummer weather like this. Since I've been in winter too, I'd say Mellows is a Seongsu café with a great atmosphere that's good to visit any time of year.

Above all, the ice cream quality at Mellows is excellent and it looks pretty and photographs well, so I recommend it for a Seongsu date or a café tour. If you want sweet dessert and cold coffee together in Seongsu, do stop by Mellows once. It was a satisfying café where you can enjoy a nice break and delicious dessert both.
