Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has in-building parking. Visiting customers get the first 120 minutes free, after which there's an additional charge of ₩4,000 per 30 minutes. The parking lot entrance is at the rear of the building.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is located on the 6th floor of the Seoul Oncheon Building at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. If you're taking public transit via Line 7 Hagye Station, it's easy to find heading toward Exit 3. It's a large sushi buffet that's great to visit when looking for a family dinner or gathering spot in Nowon.

When you come up to the 6th floor, the Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch entrance is immediately visible. There's a separate price list right at the entrance so you can check the fees before going in. The store itself is so huge that you can already feel the scale from the entrance.

At the entrance of Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch there's a CATCH TABLE waiting kiosk ready to go. When I visited, there were zero teams waiting so I got in right away — but during busy hours you just enter your phone number here to register for waiting.

And Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch also takes reservations, including same-day reservations, so it seems pretty convenient for sudden family meals or larger groups too.

First look inside Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch

The first thing I noticed after walking in was just how huge it is, haha. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a massive store with over 400 seats total, so the food stations spread out widely and the seating area is quite big too. Sushi and rolls aside, there are separate sections for salad, hot food, and dessert, so on a first visit you end up doing a full lap just to look around.

Once you head further in, there really are tons of seats. The space between tables is relatively generous and seating is divided into several zones, so it looked great for everything from family meals to friend hangouts to group gatherings. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch in particular has over 400 seats and space can even be divided off separately.

How many kinds of sushi does Kuu Kuu Nowon have?

True to Kuu Kuu form, there are an insane number of sushi types. From basic fish sushi like flounder and salmon to Spanish mackerel sushi and crab stick sushi, there's so much variety that picking your way around was genuinely fun.

Something I personally liked was that instead of piling food up in mountains all at once, they put out small portions and refill often. Buffet sushi that sits out too long tends to dry out on the rice and get sad-looking fish, but since it's constantly refreshed, I could eat it relatively cleanly.

The first thing that really caught my eye at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was the sashimi zone! From various types of tuna to salmon, the range was diverse — I especially loved that fresh raw salmon sashimi had its own dedicated spot.

A surprisingly wide dessert lineup

You know how even after stuffing yourself full, there's always room for dessert...? The dessert corner at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was pretty big too. As you can see, there's chocolate cake, castella-type cakes, waffles and pancakes, choux, jelly and more — a lineup that kids especially would love!

The fruit zone

If sweet desserts feel like too much, finishing with fruit is also great. Grapefruit, melon, pineapple and more were all set out — I found the watermelon and melon especially good. After a buffet full of meat and sushi, ending with cool fruit feels like a reset, haha.

Even marble bead ice cream?

And there's even bead ice cream!! Squee. I thought it was just regular ice cream, but next to it were several colorful types of bead ice cream too. Kids will definitely not be able to walk past this one, haha. With a play room too and this many desserts, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch looked great for anyone looking for a place to eat out with kids in Nowon.

I was a little shocked seeing the ice cream corner, haha. It's not just one or two tubs — there's a whole row of different flavors lined up, almost like picking at a dedicated ice cream shop.

Chocolate fondue done properly

There's also a big chocolate fountain in the dessert zone. Just looking at it is exciting, haha. Marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and cookies are set up next to it, so you pick what you want and dip it generously in chocolate. Kids would love this, but honestly, I — the adult — got more excited...

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is better at meat and grilled dishes than expected

When you think Kuu Kuu, sushi comes to mind first, but this time around I found the barbecue and meat dishes were actually quite good. The hot food zone had a wide range from steamed blue crab to lamb ribs, pork ribs, and smoked duck, and the meat menu didn't feel like filler just to pad out the count. In particular the meat dishes were consistently well done, and I nearly filled up on meat despite coming for a sushi buffet, haha.

Don't skip the soup en croute

While browsing the hot food, I discovered soup en croute! It's a dish with warm soup inside pastry bread, and it was way better than expected, haha. The outer pastry is crispy and savory, and when you scoop it up together with the soup inside it goes soft and moist — the combination is insane... hotel-buffet quality.

What I found especially delicious was the corn pancake pizza! (Grab this without fail ★ Highly recommended!) The sweetness of the corn plus a salty edge makes for a proper sweet-and-salty combo. Gorgonzola and pepperoni pizza were also good, great for grabbing one slice at a time. Pizza fills you up fast, so I'd recommend just tasting a bit at a time, haha.

As shown, there were several kinds to pick according to taste — cheese sticks are a strong recommend here! Even for kids or companions who can't eat sushi, there were so many menu items that I wasn't worried at all. Little ones love stuff like this, don't they~

Made-to-order dishes cooked on the spot

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch also has a separate made-to-order menu. There's jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong, udon, cold buckwheat noodles and more — tell the staff which dish you want, wait a bit, and get it served hot.

So many soups and stews

The soup selection was more serious than I expected too. From sweet pumpkin soup and crab soup to samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), gomtang (bone broth), and mala tang! I didn't expect this many hot soup options when I came for sushi, haha. Especially with the range being so varied — soft soups kids can eat, samgyetang and gomtang for the adults, and spicy mala tang for a kick — there was something for every taste.

The dish selection is really diverse too. From what I saw, there's cream shrimp and chili shrimp alongside palbochae, dim sum, fried rice, braised chicken and more — a mix of Chinese and Korean, all around. Actually, looking at other reviews of the Nowon branch, a lot of people mention the variety of hot food beyond sushi — cream shrimp, tteokgalbi, pasta and more.

I don't know why, but that sweet pumpkin salad always looks so delicious whenever I come to a place like this.

Build-your-own salad bar

After a while eating, the guilt starts creeping in, so I make sure to grab some salad too, haha. Basic ingredients like various vegetables, bell peppers, and sprouts are all there, and with a wide range of toppings you can put together your own combination. There were also several dressings, great for a refreshing palate cleanser between bites of sushi or meat.

Finally, the drinks corner! Beyond soda and regular drinks, there were also things like plum juice and lychee juice, and when I visited, they even had the currently trendy ube latte.

Four kinds of slushies too

There were four kinds of slushies too — papaya, hallabong (Korean tangerine), gold kiwi, and raspberry. Both were cool and sweet, perfect for cleansing your palate after a ton of hot food and sushi!

There's also a big serving of sikhye (sweet rice punch)!!

Make your own bingsu (shaved ice dessert)

The dessert corner also had a self-serve bingsu (shaved ice) station. With toppings like red bean, injeolmi (rice cake) powder, rice cakes, and fruit, you pick whatever you want and build it your own way! You can go the classic patbingsu route or pile on fruit and jelly — seemed like it'd be fun for kids to make their own too.

Cereal's an option too~ they've got Chex Chocolate and Corn Frosted Flakes.

What I actually piled on my plates

Hahahaha, these are my plates, absolutely dripping with greed..^^😁😁

The chili shrimp and cream shrimp were sooo good. The gorgonzola was fresh off the counter and piping hot, so good. And I obviously ate the sweetest middle part of the melon and watermelon first, haha.

I always used to eat bead ice cream at amusement parks — now I guess I need to come here for it, haha.

Unlimited draft beer for writing a review?

This is a must-check for anyone who likes to drink, haha. When I visited, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a review event offering unlimited draft beer. And it wasn't just cheap draft beer either — they had Terra and Kelly! Normally ₩5,900, but free?!

Jjajangmyeon from the made-to-order corner! It has that old-school jjajang style. Piping hot and great.

My mom said the Ungjin snow crab cream soup was rich and savory. You could really taste the crab flavor.

Verdict on Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was a place where the menu range was genuinely too good to waste on sushi alone! From raw salmon sashimi to sushi and rolls of every kind as the basics, plus barbecue dishes like lamb ribs and pork ribs, cream shrimp, chili shrimp, pizza, fried food, and made-to-order dishes — the hot food lineup was seriously packed. I especially appreciated that instead of laying out huge piles of food all at once, they refilled in small batches frequently, so everything stayed warm and fresh.

Personally, my top picks are the soup en croute, corn pancake pizza, and both the cream shrimp and chili shrimp! The meat dishes overall were also done well, so I ended up eating more hot food than sushi, honestly, haha. On top of that, the drink selection ranged from draft beer to juice, ube latte, and slushies, and the dessert lineup — ice cream, bead ice cream, chocolate fondue, waffles, and bingsu — was so complete that there was always something new to eat right up to the end.

The store is spacious with over 400 seats and has solid group seating, so I'd especially recommend it to anyone in Nowon looking for a family meal spot, somewhere to go with kids, or a group gathering place. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch really had a wide menu spectrum. If you like trying a bit of everything, you'll walk out feeling like you got your money's worth without a doubt. I'd definitely go back.
