Bangi-dong Korean BBQ packed by 6:30pm: Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang
In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the middle of the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul, grilling beef gopchang (small intestines), daechang (large intestines) and makchang (abomasum). Arriving at 6:30pm found every table already taken; staff grilled two servings of gopchang and one of daechang at the table, along with buchu kimchi (garlic chive kimchi) to wrap the meat in, and the meal ended with kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice. Clean-tasting gopchang with no off smell, plump daechang and three house-made kimchi are what make Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang worth the queue.

Can you get a table at 6:30pm in the Bangi-dong food alley?
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch sits on the first floor in the middle of the Bangi-dong food alley, and when I got there around 6:30pm it was already full. There are chairs out front for waiting. It seemed to be pretty famous — I think I've seen it on TV a lot !

What's on the menu at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang?
The menu at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang has beef gopchang, daechang (large intestines), and makchang (abomasum), each 220g per serving, and the prices were super reasonable too! For meals there's kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice and anchovy noodle soup, and they also sell scallion kimchi. Loved that all the ingredients are domestic.

The free side dishes and steamed egg
The standard side dishes at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang are three kinds of house-made kimchi, scallions, and soy-garlic sauce. Maybe because it's house-made, the kimchi is genuinely delicious, and the scallions and sauce went so well with the gopchang !

Steamed egg also comes as a default side. It's really tasty and great for settling your stomach before the gopchang. Topped with carrot and scallion too.

Do staff grill the gopchang and daechang for you?
We ordered two servings of gopchang and one of daechang at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang. It comes with potatoes, bean sprouts, kimchi, rice cake, scallions, and cabbage. Staff grilled it for us so we could just relax and eat !

Partway through, they grill the scallion kimchi too, and wrapping the gopchang in that kimchi is genuinely insane. And can you see how full of goodness the gopchang is .. seriously ㅜ so rich and savory. I eat gopchang often because I love it, so I know my stuff !! There's really zero off-flavor here, and the daechang is plump and not chewy at all — grilled together and dipped in scallions and soy sauce, it's the best.

Kkakdugi fried rice to finish, and what the room is like
Inside, Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang has lots of tables and it was really crowded. For dessert we ordered the yangbap (fried rice), and the portion was huge with plenty of intestines mixed in — really tasty. There's a fried egg on top too !
I saw a lot of people ordering the anchovy noodle soup too — the noodles looked huge and the broth looked really refreshing. We decided to try the noodles next time haha. Looks like a popular spot for work dinners too, and being right in the middle of the Bangi-dong food alley makes it super convenient for a meal. If you're looking for a great gopchang restaurant, I recommend Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang !
