I packed up 5 breads — shrimp baguette + cheese bread + salty soboro + yakbap pound cake + mugwort rice-cake bread — and they looked so delicious I was really excited haha.

Salty soboro: sweet-salty crumble over salted dough

I bought the salty soboro wondering what it even was, and it's so unique and delicious ㅜㅜ The top tastes just like regular soboro.

Piled high with soboro, it's crisp and sweet and just melts in your mouth,, the best,,

When you cut it in half, the moist part in the center is the salt dough! The sweet-salty balance in the salty soboro is truly perfect ㅜㅜ The bread's fluffy-chewy texture is on point too haha.

Yakbap pound cake: barely sweet, and mom's favorite

The yakbap (sweet rice) pound cake is topped with a ton of nuts and seeds like sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and it's a really dense pound cake — the yakbap aroma comes through really strongly haha.

Even though it's on the dense side, it's moist so it doesn't feel dry, and you can really taste that nutty, mildly sweet flavor unique to yakbap — so good!

It's especially not too sweet, so my mom really enjoyed it haha.

The outside is baked just right, so you get fluffy-moist inside and a chewy texture outside.

Shrimp baguette: the savory pick worth ordering

Shrimp baguette bursting with umami,, coated on top with something sweet, like soboro.

That coating is actually a shrimp-based sauce, sweet with a rich shrimp aroma and that distinctive savory depth — genuinely so good,, a must-try at this Yeonnam-dong bakery near Hongdae!!

Mugwort rice-cake bread: rice cake and bread in one bite

Mugwort rice-cake bread, full of mugwort aroma. Topped with almonds, it has both a mugwort scent and a sweet one.

Super chewy, like rice cake, and the bread part is chewy too — so good,, the fragrant mugwort flavor rounds it all out nicely.

With its moist, chewy texture, it feels like eating rice cake and bread at the same time haha. Such a delicious pick, highly recommend this Yeonnam-dong bakery near Hongdae.
