Korean BBQ with cream soup banchan in Uijeongbu: Supsok Oki Jip
In short
Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch is a charcoal beef BBQ restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Uijeongbu Station in Gyeonggi. Over the Liberation Day holiday, three friends shared 3 servings of hwangje neukgansal (premium intercostal beef) with the 10,000 won set add-on that brings offal hot pot and curry, and the cream soup served as a banchan plus the traditional liquor list of Hwarang and Ihgangju stood out most. Portions at Supsok Oki Jip were generous enough to fill three people without a single extra order, making it a strong value pick for a group dinner.

We had the Liberation Day holiday this time!! Manse for Korean independence 🇰🇷 To mark the holiday, I came to Uijeongbu to meet friends. I wanted to hit a BBQ place near Uijeongbu Station, so we went to Supsok Oki Jip, a charcoal beef restaurant full of forest vibes! The value for money was so good that I'm excited to write this review up ⌒-⌒
Where is Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch, and when does it open?
Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch is at 20 Sinheung-ro 258beon-gil, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1st floor, a 3-minute walk (94m) from Exit 3 of Uijeongbu Station. It's open daily from 16:00 to 23:30.

The interior has forest vibes even before you walk in haha. The lighting was low so it felt cozy, and it was such a good atmosphere for a gathering!! There was even group seating on the 2nd floor. This would be great for a company dinner near Uijeongbu Station too!

Supsok Oki Jip menu prices and traditional liquor list
📋 Supsok Oki Jip's menu board
The main menu had neukgansal (premium short rib, 150g, ₩16,000), diced short ribs (150g, ₩23,000), and handmade LA galbi (250g, ₩22,000), plus a set add-on of offal hot pot and curry for ₩10,000 with your first order.
Side dishes included offal hot pot (₩15,000), snow flower yukhoe (raw beef, ₩15,000), curry (₩8,000), jjagyechi (₩5,000), and a bowl of rice (₩1,000).
Interestingly, alongside the usual drinks they had a wide variety of traditional liquors too — Hwarang (₩12,000), Nimoye (₩14,000), Park Jae-seo Andong Soju (₩16,000), and Ihgangju (₩20,000). You can even get a 100ml Hwarang through the Naver review event, so definitely check that out!!
The three of us ordered 3 servings of neukgansal and the offal hot pot and curry set add-on (₩10,000).

Cream soup served as a banchan
Along with various sauces, a cream soup came out as a side dish — croutons on top of a soft cream base made it sweet and savory, and it really got our appetites going before the main course.

Was the 10,000 won offal hot pot and curry set worth it?
The offal hot pot combined offal with soft tofu in a spicy broth, and the perilla seeds gave the soup a spicy yet clean, refreshing flavor. The chewy texture of the offal held up well too, making it perfect both as a drinking snack and as a side with rice!!

The curry was thick, loaded with big chunks of carrot and meat, served over rice — it was pretty spicy!! But it was so tasty that even my friend who can't handle spice ate it while sweating haha. Eating it alongside the neukgansal made for a real treat too. The set add-on was definitely worth it haha.

How did 3 servings of hwangje neukgansal taste?
The main dish, neukgansal, uses a cut with stronger flavor than regular galbisal, tossed on the spot in a handmade garlic-based sauce. Eating it, the texture was chewy and the seasoning had soaked in all the way through, so with every bite the garlic aroma and rich umami came through strongly!!

Great visuals, right?^^ Dipped in the handmade sauce and eaten with the gungchae (mustard leaf) banchan, it was a chewy, crunchy, ultimate combo!! Paired with somaek too, it was even better, hahaha.
Honestly I was planning to order more after eating, but between the generous meat portions and the curry and offal hot pot, we were stuffed. Thanks to the set menu, I think this is a BBQ place with really great value for money!!

Meonji's one-line verdict on Supsok Oki Jip
- ✅ Great value thanks to the set menu!!
- ✅ Rich and spicy offal hot pot
- ✅ Smooth curry with great umami
- ✅ Chewy neukgansal with well-soaked seasoning
- ☑️ 2000% would come back
If you want to enjoy hearty beef along with a filling offal hot pot and curry set near Uijeongbu Station on a budget, I strongly recommend Supsok Oki Jip! The atmosphere is cozy enough for a date, and the special menu with great value makes it good for hanging out with friends too haha.
