Soju bar near Sindang Station with a market-view terrace: Jjeojeoseu
In short
Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch (지져스 신당중앙시장본점) is a griddle-cooking bar inside Sindang Jungang Market in Jung-gu, Seoul, a 4–5 minute walk from Sindang Station Exit 2. On a weekday evening, a friend visiting from Busan and the writer stopped at Jjeojeoseu for a second round, wrapping the 25,000 won beef rib Mexican platter in tortillas and drinking soju at an outdoor table overlooking the market. For anyone who only knows Sindang for its tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) alley, Jjeojeoseu is a great second-round bar to show a visiting friend.

When you go to Sindang, does everyone think of the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) alley first? I did... haha (total Seoul newbie) ^^ A friend from Busan came up to Seoul for work training, so we picked Sindang as a halfway point, and it was seriously great, I'll definitely come back. If you're wondering where to go for a second round near Sindang Station, this might help.
We weighed a few candidates, and then!! The friend picked Jjeojeoseu (지져스)~ (no more words needed_)

How long is the walk from Sindang Station to Jjeojeoseu?

Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch is about a 4–5 minute walk from Sindang Station Exit 2!! You have to head straight~~~ down the market alley, so if it's your first time, I recommend turning on a map!!!
Also, the exits differ depending on whether you're on Line 6 or Line 2, so check carefully. Still, the sign says ZISUS in big red letters, so once I saw it there was no mixing it up, haha.
A bar with this vibe inside Sindang Jungang Market?

I was amazed that a bar like this sits right in the middle of Sindang Jungang Market;;;; My friend said markets in Busan weren't like this..

Seating: small inside, but market-view outdoor seats
The inside of Jjeojeoseu is on the small side, but there's a separate terrace-like area outside, so it didn't feel like seats were really short!!! Kind of fascinating. A market view... is this an outdoor drinking table..? A terrace? Anyway yep, it's outdoor seating!!!!!!! Wow, this is Sindang's outdoor drinking spot, yep.

Open kitchen cooking on a griddle right in front of you
Jjeojeoseu also has an open kitchen, so once you order, the food is cooked on the griddle right in front of you, and you can really feel how clean and meticulous the owner is..
Jjeojeoseu's signature: beef rib Mexican platter, ₩25,000

The menu at Jjeojeoseu was bigger than I expected and I nearly froze up choosing, but in the end we went with the signature best seller first, the beef rib Mexican platter, ₩25,000!
A glimpse of the fire power show show show

Beef ribs + grilled chicken drumstick + tortillas + vegetables? Yep. Soju? I'll gulp it down.

Hahaha I was plating it up a bit for the blog photos and the meat looked way too small.. haha. And there's so much meat on that platter;

From the next wrap on, I stuffed it full ❤ Perfect, nom nom. The combo of vegetables, meat and sauce is so good, and nothing was lacking in the proportions... I think it would go well with a highball too!!!
Is there a wait at Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch?
When I visited around 7 pm on a weekday, Jjeojeoseu had seats available. But when we left around 9, it was packed! Everyone's been secretly enjoying this delicious hip stuff, huh;
How was Jjeojeoseu as a second round near Sindang Station?
I went to show my friend from Busan around Sindang. Honestly I was just as amazed and had fun looking around too, and since my friend was happy, I felt weirdly proud through the whole drinking session, hehe.
When you go to Sindang, don't stop at tteokbokki, walk into the market once!!!! It's packed with fun. Griddle snacks with a Mexican-meets-Korean feel and a glass of soju, just right~~~ for a second round!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll probably go again with my friend.
