Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch is a Korean pork BBQ specialist near Geomdan Sageori Station in Incheon. The lunch special is ₩10,000, the medium hanwoo pork platter (400g) is ₩36,000, and the large (600g) is ₩54,000.

The building itself looked so huge and imposing that for a second I worried it'd be pricey before we even walked in!? But the moment I saw the menu I relaxed lol. The value here is genuinely insane!!!

The inside also has wide table spacing and lots of seats, so it looked like the perfect spot for a company dinner or family gathering near Geomdan Sageori! There were just two of us, but we got greedy in the middle of the day and went straight for the large hanwoo pork platter >_<

Free side dishes that keep coming at Taedon

Order meat at Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch and you get bibim jjolmyeon, gyeran-jjim, flat mandu, mixed mushrooms, and Dubai ssamjang all for free. The table fills up before the meat even arrives.

The second you order, side dishes and freebies start covering the table before the meat even shows up, and my jaw genuinely dropped,,,

I was especially shocked by the portion of bibim jjolmyeon lol. This wasn't a three-forkfuls sample size — it was a full standalone-menu-item portion, seriously,, My partner doesn't like jjolmyeon so I had to eat it all myself, but the amount was so absurd I couldn't finish it ㅠㅠㅠㅠ (Sorry, owner...)

On top of that, the gyeran-jjim, flat mandu, mixed mushrooms, and Dubai ssamjang are all free too🫶 (If you come with a child 5 or under, they even give you free bone broth soup!!! Highly recommend for families with kids!)

By the way, this was my first time ever seeing this Dubai ssamjang,,, it actually has kadayif (shredded pastry) mixed in so every bite has this custom crunchy texture — so unique, and it weirdly pairs well with the meat, wild lol

The 600g Handon platter: pork belly vs. chewy jjondeuk-sal

The large hanwoo pork platter (600g) at Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch comes as pork belly and jjondeuksal (chewy pork cut). It arrives pre-seasoned with pepper, so the basic seasoning was spot on.

And finally the main event arrives — the large pork platter (pork belly + jjondeuksal). The owner had already sprinkled pepper on top, so the base seasoning came out perfectly balanced!!

Grilling duty was on my partner today too 💖 They laid the meat on the pan along with kimchi, gosari (bracken fern), and mu-saengchae (radish salad), and grilled it all up perfectly.

Pork belly on the left, jjondeuksal on the right! Personally I preferred the pork belly since it's fattier and more delicious haha

Wrapping grilled meat in lettuce with a bit of Dubai ssamjang on top made me genuinely happy in the mouth,,,🩷 The grilled kimchi was extra special too since it's made with aged kimchi!!

When the meat starts feeling a bit greasy, wrapping in a bite of the tangy-sweet bibim jjolmyeon instantly cuts through the richness >_<

Grilling the given flat mandu until crispy and eating it with meat and bibim jjolmyeon together is also a real treat, seriously,,,❣️

Cookies-and-cream ice cream from the receipt review event

Write a Naver receipt review at Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch and they'll give you cookies-and-cream ice cream. They gave us two whole scoops, and we had to leave a third of it uneaten.

After polishing off the meat, we did the Naver review event and they scooped out cookies-and-cream ice cream... but wait, owner, if you give two huge scoops of ice cream too, is there anything left in it for you? 😭 The owner's hand is seriously so generous... the ice cream portion was so huge we ended up leaving a third of it ㅠㅠ (Weirdly enough, they even sprinkled kadayif topping on the ice cream lol)

Is Taedon in Geomdan worth it? Final verdict

An imposing exterior paired with unexpectedly good prices, quality hanwoo pork, and a bomb of free sides!!! This felt like the most well-treated I've been at any Geomdan pork restaurant recently, and I left really satisfied🩷 Next time I'll definitely bring my parents along for a revisit haha.
