Lash lift redo after another salon's touch-up: Iyo Shop, Gongdeok

I'm one of those people for whom lashes are everything, so ever since I started wearing makeup I've always put a lot of effort into mascara and curling my lashes — which meant I was losing a ton of time getting ready in the mornings ㅠ So on a friend's recommendation I started getting lash lifts, and after that I could never go back to life without them hahahaha

So over the past year I've been to a bunch of different lash salons, and today I'm bringing you my review of the one that satisfied me the most — Iyo Shop, a lash lift place near Gongdeok!!

Actually, last month I got a lash lift near my office and wasn't happy with the result, so I even went back for a touch-up. But even after that, the curl kept catching on my double eyelid crease and looked tangled from different angles. It was really frustrating.🥲 So this time, instead of just going for lashes lifted as tightly as possible, I looked for a place that would design them neatly to match my eye shape and eyelid crease, and ended up visiting Iyo Shop near Gongdeok Station, a bit farther from home.

It's inside the Park Palace 2 building, so on your first visit it might be easier to just look for the Olive Young store!

If you go up the stairs next to Olive Young to the 2nd floor, you'll see it right past the door with the sign for the Korean medicine clinic they share the floor with. If you take the elevator up to the 2nd floor instead, just head toward the corner on the right and you'll find Iyo Shop.

Inside Iyo Shop: the interior and the treatment bed

Walking inside, I was struck by a clean space done mostly in white and silver. It had a calm, no-frills, tidy atmosphere that felt comfortable from the first impression. The waiting area had a table and chairs, accented with small decor pieces and plants so it didn't feel plain.

Since lash treatments are done right around the eyes, hygiene really matters — and the black-and-white interior with silver accents felt bright and clean, giving off an overall fresh and well-organized impression.

If you arrive a bit early while the director is mid-treatment, there's a separate table area neatly set up where you can wait quietly.

The treatment area itself was well organized too, which made lying down for the treatment much more comfortable. The bed was roomy and the whole space felt clean, which put me at ease. Sometimes lash beds are so hard or uncomfortable that you end up shifting around the whole time, but this bed was so comfortable I basically slept like a baby through the whole treatment haha

How Iyo Shop redesigned the curl so lashes stop catching on the eyelid crease

Iyo Shop is a one-on-one lash specialty space where the director handles everything herself, from consultation to design planning to the finishing touches. What impressed me was that she doesn't just apply a maximally lifted shape by default — she adjusts the curl based on your eye shape, face shape, and the overall look you want.

For the lash lift, she uses a range of rods and techniques, and does custom designs so that even monolids or short, weak lashes can look defined. You can consult on anything from a natural curl to a bold, striking style.

My lift from last month had gone wrong, and even after a touch-up, my lashes kept catching on my eyelid crease. The curl wasn't even and looked messy, and it quietly bothered me every time I looked in the mirror.😭

I woke up from a comfortable nap and my lashes were already done!! Don't the AFTER lashes look really neatly and prettily curled?? I got the nutrition treatment along with black tinting, which gives a more defined look even without mascara!

What I especially liked about this lash lift near Gongdeok was the black tinting. It makes lashes look distinct and dark, so my eyes looked defined even without applying mascara separately. It varies by person, but I was told it usually lasts about 3–4 weeks!

I used to wear mascara often even after a lash lift because I wanted to look a bit more defined. But constantly layering mascara and removing it every day with remover made my lashes feel dry, and over time the curl started looking messy too...

But going without mascara at all felt a little lacking, so I even tried black-colored lash serums. Getting black tinting done together like this means I can skip mascara entirely and my lashes still have presence — I think it's going to make getting ready for work a lot easier!

Even from the side, the lashes are neat, lifted tightly but designed to fit my eye shape without catching on the crease! With the clean curl and added definition, my eyes look less flat even bare-faced.✨

After the treatment, I took a selfie in the mirror they have set up in the shop haha. Can you tell how defined my eyes look even bare-faced? Very satisfied~

Because of last month's bad experience, I was worried this time that the curl would be too strong or catch on my crease again, but at Iyo Shop it was finished much more cleanly to fit my eye shape, and I was very satisfied.

With the lashes lifted evenly instead of sticking out every which way, my eyes looked much more put-together, and thanks to the black tinting I could get a defined look without mascara — so convenient.
