Why I booked a lash lift at Iyo Shop in Gongdeok

Lately using an eyelash curler every time I put on makeup got kind of annoying, and no matter how hard I curled them, they'd droop back down pretty fast — so it's been a while since I went to get a lash lift :)

Iyo Shop location and parking: 5 minutes from Gongdeok Station Exit 3

The place I visited is 'Iyo Shop,' located near Gongdeok Station. It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 3, so the accessibility was pretty good. I drove there and parked in the building's parking lot.

Arrived! Made it there. Heading up to the 2nd floor now.

Choosing the curl in a 1:1 consultation at Iyo Shop

Iyo Shop runs 1:1 customized lash treatments, so the director herself handled everything from the consultation to design decisions to the actual treatment. What I liked was that it wasn't just about lifting lashes as much as possible — she consulted with me on the curl and design based on my eye shape, face shape, and the look I usually go for.

For lash lifts, there are various curl types like JC-curl, C-curl, and D-curl, and she said the design is decided considering the length and thickness of the lashes. Since I wanted a style that looked natural but still made my eyes look defined, rather than something overly lifted, we went with a design suited to my eyes after the consultation.

What the treatment room at Iyo Shop is like

The treatment space also had a quiet, comfortable atmosphere, so I wasn't uncomfortable at all during the treatment. Since it's run on a 1:1 appointment basis, there was also little chance of running into other customers, which I liked.

Before and after the lash lift: what actually changed

This is what my eyes looked like before the lash lift :) These lashes are fine too, but I want them lifted up haha. Time for the lift. I prefer lash lifts over extensions, so I went with a lift this time.

After a good nap, I woke up and my lashes were done. It was so relaxing. 🥹 So happy with the lift! It's amazing haha. This one thing alone can change how a person looks!

A lash lift is such a small change, but it makes your eyes look noticeably more defined afterward, so it's personally one of the treatments I'm most satisfied with. What I find most convenient is that I don't need to use an eyelash curler in the morning anymore, so it cuts down a bit of time when getting ready. Even with a bare face, my lashes stay naturally lifted, so my eyes look less flat! Lash lifts are always the right call! :-) Totally satisfied 🤗

How to get to Iyo Shop and where to park

Address: 2F, 143 Mapo-daero, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Parking is available too. If you're visiting by car, park in basement level 1 or 2 of the Park Palace 2 building at 143 Mapo-daero, and you get 2 hours of free parking.

After parking, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and turn right — Iyo Shop is right there on the corner, so it wasn't hard to find at all :) If you're in Gongdeok looking for a lash lift that gives your eyes a natural but defined lift, I'd say it's worth a visit 🤍
