In short
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a soufflé-focused dessert café on Seoulsup 2-gil in Seongdong, Seoul. The fig soufflé costs 22,000 won and arrives ringed with in-season figs out to the edge of the plate, served here with a moka pot americano and a lemon myrtle tea, and the cream is not sweet at all, so every bit of sweetness comes from the fig. It's fig season, so I was craving a fig dessert, and I'd heard there's a café in Seongsu known for its soufflé, so I went to 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch. They have quite a variety of soufflé flavors, and right now you can get a fig soufflé piled with in-season figs. After trying it, I get why it's so popular as a Seongsu café soufflé spot haha.

Where is 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch? Walking from Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is an easy walk from Seoul Forest Station, and it's also walkable from Ttukseom Station.

A different mood on every floor: which seat to take at 5to7
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has a slightly different vibe floor by floor. With wood-toned furniture, plants dotted around, and trees visible through the windows, it feels more relaxed than you'd expect right in the middle of Seongsu.

The window seats were pretty too, so that's where I settled in. A lot of Seongsu cafés are crowded with tight seating, but here the space is split across several floors, so it was easy to pick a spot I liked.

There's also a terrace seating area outside. On a cool day like the one I went, drinking coffee outdoors would be really nice. This could also be a good stop for anyone looking for a Seongsu café to visit after a walk in Seoul Forest.

What we ordered at 5to7 Seongsu and what it cost
- 📍Fig soufflé ₩22,000
- 📍Lemon myrtle tea ₩8,000
- 📍Moka pot americano ₩6,000
There was quite a variety of soufflé flavors, but what I ordered that day was the fig soufflé ♥️♥️♥️♥️ It's exactly the kind of menu item that fits this season, so I picked it right away.

When it arrived, I was so happy with how pretty it looked haha. The cream is piled up enough to completely cover the middle of the soufflé, and figs are packed all the way around the edge of the plate. It wasn't just a few slices on top — the portion was more generous than I expected.

Sitting at the window seat with the green backdrop made the whole thing look even prettier, honestly ㅠㅠ This is exactly the kind of thing anyone looking for a Seongsu café soufflé would love.

What to drink with a soufflé: moka pot americano and lemon myrtle tea
For drinks, I picked two clean, simple options to go with the soufflé: a moka pot americano and a lemon myrtle tea!
Moka pot americano, 6,000 won

First, the moka pot americano. Since the soufflé is heavy on cream and sweetness, I really did prefer pairing it with coffee. A bite of soufflé followed by a sip of americano cleaned my palate every time.
Lemon myrtle tea, 8,000 won

The lemon myrtle tea had a subtle, refreshing aroma just like the name suggests. If you'd rather drink something lighter than coffee, this pairs well with the soufflé too. Personally, I'd recommend the moka pot americano if you like coffee, and the lemon myrtle tea if you like tea.
How does the fig soufflé taste? The cream isn't sweet at all

Now for the actual fig soufflé. The cream is spread so smoothly on top that the soufflé itself is barely visible, and there are figs on top as well. Figs fill the plate all the way to the edge, so there was plenty to pair with every bite of soufflé.

Seen from the side, it's quite thick. With that much cream on top, I wondered if it would be super sweet or heavy.

But once I actually tried it, it was softer and lighter than expected. And the cream — it's seriously so good. Kind of like a milk cream?? Not sweet at all. All the sweetness in the fig soufflé came purely from the fig.

The cream is honestly so good... I could've just eaten it by the spoonful and been happy. This is very much my kind of cream.

Inside is the yellow soufflé, and having the warm, fluffy soufflé come up together with the cold cream was seriously so!!!! good.

The soufflé alone is soft, but eating it with the cream too made it feel like it was melting in my mouth haha. Add a piece of fig on top of that and you get a subtle extra sweetness — personally, eating all three together in one bite was the best way to have it.

The figs were nicely ripe too, soft and sweet. And since there were so many around the soufflé, I didn't have to ration them, which I liked.

I love seasonal fruit, so I've been eating a lot of figs lately, and they really are great with cream. I especially liked that the cream itself wasn't too heavy, so it didn't cover up the flavor of the fig.

When it first arrived, the amount of cream looked like a lot, but the soufflé was so fluffy and soft that it kept going down easier than I expected. Eating the figs one by one alongside it, I finished it pretty quickly haha.

Who is 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch best for?
If you want a proper dessert in Seongsu or you love a fluffy soufflé, 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is worth it. Especially now while figs are this good, I'd recommend the fig soufflé haha.
I'd recommend 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch to anyone looking for a Seongsu café to stop by after walking around Seoul Forest, or anyone hunting for a dessert spot to have a proper soufflé.
