Late-night ice cream café near Ttukseom Station: Mellows

After work on a weekday, I met up with my boyfriend for dinner. While we were heading somewhere afterward, I heard about an ice cream café near Ttukseom Station that is known for its desserts and stays open until 1 AM, so we decided to visit.

Parking and access from Ttukseom Station

Parking ❌️

There is no dedicated parking, so we decided to use the Nudite Seoul Forest parking lot, which was closest to the café. It showed in real time from outside how many spaces were available, so it was easy to head straight over. It runs from B6 to B2 and from floors 4 to 5 above ground, so it felt spacious!

• An additional ₩1,000 per 10 minutes afterward

I also checked out Daiso on B1, and they offer 30 minutes of free parking registration with purchases over ₩3,000. If you need anything, it might be nice to shop and get the benefit! My boyfriend happened to need something, so he bought it and registered for the parking discount ✌️ For those arriving on foot, it is a convenient 3-minute walk from Exit 7 of Ttukseom Station.

Red-brick exterior and outdoor seating

Open from 7 AM to 1 AM. (Only until 8 PM on Mondays; closed every Sunday.)

There were five outdoor tables lined up in front of the red-brick-style exterior. The weather was cool even in the evening, so the outdoor seats were popular too!

This was the seat we came out to later, and the atmosphere was so nice. 😁

A small but warm interior

As soon as we entered, the counter was on the left, with two people busily making drinks and ice cream! It is open-style, so you can clearly see them working from both inside and outside.

On the right were four tables in total—about two tables for two and two tables for three—so it is a small café. There were ice cream posters? photos? on the wall too, and I loved the warm wood-toned atmosphere inside.

What you can order after 8 PM

We visited at around 8:30 PM, and we were told that the non-coffee drinks, fruit soft ice cream, and dessert menu were sold out or generally only available before 8 PM. Coffee and the basic soft ice cream menu are still available after 8 PM! Looking at the menu, I saw they also sell alcohol in the evening—highballs, whisky, bottled beer, and more—so I thought, ahh, that is why they stay open late haha. The atmosphere was great, and it seemed like a nice place to come after work for a quick drink too 😋

We originally came for the fruit soft ice cream, but with that sudden menu change, we debated for a bit and decided to try two soft ice creams—affogato (₩4,000) and matcha (₩4,000)—plus an Americano (₩2,500) and vanilla latte (₩3,500).

Orders are placed through the tablet kiosk set up in front of the counter!

After a little wait, out they come haha. They say it is premium ice cream made with fresh milk from Sangha Farm~ 😋

Matcha soft ice cream taste

Basic soft ice cream—matcha. The deep green Jeju matcha sprinkled over the milk soft ice cream was so pretty haha.

It had a chocolate cookie stuck in it, and at the very bottom was a generous layer of rich matcha syrup and assorted nuts. One spoonful brought together the rich milk ice cream and matcha's deep, intense flavor so well. Matcha often leaves a dull aftertaste, but this one was clean. My boyfriend said the combination of nuts and matcha at the bottom was the best haha 👍

Affogato with a poured espresso shot

Basic soft ice cream—affogato. The milk soft ice cream arrives with a chocolate cookie in it and a separate espresso shot. 😋

The lighting was yellow, so I moved around to photograph it as close to its real color as possible hahaha. This milky white, snow-like color was at least somewhat similar! It really had that riich~~ milk flavor—thick, sweet, and intensely milky, like truly premium ice cream.

After eating some of the milk soft ice cream, I poured in the espresso shot that came with it. The rich milk ice cream and concentrated shot blended beautifully, making the flavor even fuller! Such a delicious affogato 😋

Coffee at the outdoor tables

Vanilla latte and Americano. After quickly clearing the ice cream, we took the vanilla latte and Americano we had ordered outside to drink haha. My boyfriend had the Americano and said it was delicious, with acidity and strong beans—but probably the kind that would keep you awake hahaha. The vanilla latte also had strong coffee flavor, with a subtle vanilla aroma, and it was not overly sweet, so I was happy with it.

Sitting at the outdoor table, the atmosphere and cool breeze felt so nice.

A great place to take a break after work

Both the outdoor and indoor table areas had a lovely atmosphere, making it just right for taking a break. The owner was incredibly kind, and listening to them chat with customers, it seemed like there were lots of regulars! I was sad that I could not have the fruit-topped soft ice cream I originally wanted, but next time I am near Ttukseom or Seongsu, I will come back and give it a try! 😁
