Our family’s first picnic 🤍 We went on a picnic with our baby and my husband. The weather has been soooo lovely lately—it would be a shame to stay home, right? Once September arrived, a gentle breeze suddenly started blowing and the days became noticeably cooler. It really is perfect picnic weather now.

So this time, off we went to Mangwon Hangang Park with the baby! Since it was our first picnic together, I was wondering what to bring and where to go. We ended up preparing various picnic items at Picnic List Mangwon. I’ll share our relaxing picnic day with the baby at Mangwon Hangang Park, one bit at a time ☺️

What you can rent at Picnic List Mangwon

Picnic List Mangwon is right in front of Mangwon Hangang Park 🧺🤍 It’s a place where you can rent the items you need for a picnic in the park. I also loved that it is an unmanned shop, so you can use it comfortably at the time you want!

They had a surprisingly wide selection of picnic essentials, from mats, shade tents, tents, and parasols to tables, backrest chairs, and camping chairs. You can also rent plenty of picnic props to add to the mood, including picnic baskets, picnic hats, speakers, and bouquets.

I think it would be especially convenient for anyone like me who feels burdened by packing all sorts of things for a picnic with a baby 😵 Most of all, there were so many rental options, and the prices felt more reasonable than I expected, so it was easy to use without pressure~

How does the unmanned rental work?

Picnic List Mangwon had so many different kinds of items ready to go 🧺 It is an unmanned shop, but the interior was neat and well maintained, which was nice. At first, I worried a little that using an unmanned shop might be complicated... but...? It was actually really simple.

Choose the picnic items you want at the in-store kiosk, scan the QR code, and enter the necessary information in a Google Form—that’s it! The rental process isn’t difficult, so I think even first-time users can manage it easily. We did not need to meet a staff member; we could comfortably select and rent what we wanted right away, which was very convenient for our family moving around with a baby 🤍

I debated between backrest chairs and camping chairs, then picked the camping chairs that suited a picnic so well!

What to check before setting up a shade tent

There are designated areas, dates, and times when shade tents and tents are permitted, so be sure to check before using them!

We finally arrived at Mangwon Hangang Park 🤍 Maybe because the weather was so lovely, there were so many people out picnicking by the Han River! We found a nice spot and quickly settled in. We opened our rented shade tent first, then took out the table, chairs, and picnic props one by one to set everything up. Since it was our first picnic with the baby, even just putting the space together step by step made me oddly excited and happy.

After setting up each thing like this, our picnic spot turned out far prettier than I had imagined 🧺🤍 Every prop had lovely details, so the atmosphere was wonderful every time I took a photo.

Actually, we planned this Mangwon Hangang Park picnic because I wanted to take pretty photos to celebrate our baby turning 8 months old. With the weather being so nice too, the photos came out beautifully 📸 It had been a while since we had simply enjoyed the breeze at a relaxed pace, and spending time together as a family was just so lovely.

I thought our first picnic with the baby might be a little hectic, but it was a far more enjoyable day than expected 🤍 With the pretty props added in, this was our family’s first picnic where just sitting there made us feel good.

A standard 3-hour rental and easy return

Picnic List Mangwon has a standard rental time of 3 hours, which feels quite generous. Three hours was enough to enjoy the picnic, take photos, eat snacks, and relax. If you want to take your time a little more, you can also extend the time or rent for the whole day, which was nice because you can fit it to your schedule.

We used it for around 2 hours, and without feeling short on time, we took baby photos, had snacks, and enjoyed our picnic at an easy pace~

After enjoying our picnic to the fullest, it was time to return the rented items! The return process was really simple too ☺️ Once we arrived at the shop, we scanned the return QR code and placed the items we had rented back in their designated spots one by one—that’s it! It was convenient because there was no need to wait for staff or go through a complicated process.

From rental to return, everything at Picnic List Mangwon was unmanned, and I was even more satisfied because it was clean and well managed throughout! Packing lots of things for a day out with the baby had felt burdensome, but renting the picnic items we needed made the trip lighter and more enjoyable.
