Picnic gear rental in Mapo for a Han River day: Picnic List Mangwon
In short
Picnic List Mangwon is a picnic gear rental shop near Mangwon Hangang Park in Mapo, Seoul. I mixed and matched 12 items for 25,000 won, including a shade tent, mat, chairs, and board games. Verdict: a great-value way to set up a camp picnic by the Han River without bringing a thing.

Picnic gear rental, one minute from Mangwon Hangang Park entrance
If you don't go to a Han River park in this weather, you're silly!!! Sorry for calling you silly in the very first line of this post... but I just want the whole country to go to the Han River right now 🥹🥹
☀No, seriously... this weather is insane... The day was so nice that I came to the Han River park empty-handed, and there were a few picnic gear rental places gathered right near the entrance to Mangwon Hangang Park! The location is honestly such a cheat code haha. One minute to the Han River park 🏃♀️🏃♀️

After searching around, I picked Picnic List Mangwon (피크닉리스트 망원) because it looked neat and like good value too, haha.

Twelve picnic items rented through mix and match
I went with the 4-item build-your-own Mix & Match set! The standard packages are great too, but I am the type who has to try everything—and I have a serious case of “what if?”—so I wanted to rent as much as possible haha. So I picked my own items! But after renting them, I think the standard package alone would be plenty to enjoy.

How is it? So neat, right! There were so many things I wanted to rent that I spent ages deciding... They had gathered all the essentials, so I wanted to rent everything, but I brought myself to my senses and rented a nice, practical selection.
- Wagon, large picnic mat, embossed mat, shade tent
- Box table, set of 2 backrest chairs, blanket, set of 2 board games
- Power bank, fan, Bluetooth speaker, badminton rackets
Guess how much I rented all 12 things for! Just 25,000 won... The base rental is 3 hours, and you get an extra hour if you do the review event. Isn't that seriously such good value? 😻🙊
Bringing everything over in the wagon made the walk easy too. Once you enter Mangwon Hangang Park, go right and you'll find the picnic zone, just so you know!!! At first I wandered around because I didn't know where to go 😵 But after entering, turn right and there is a picnic zone and tent zone, with a convenience store and restroom right in front, so it was super convenient 🤍✨

Using the embossed mat and backrest chairs
The embossed mat fits the large picnic mat perfectly, so I definitely recommend laying the embossed mat down first. The ground is not completely flat! Then the picnic mat fits right on top!!! Haha.

The backrest chairs took literally one second to assemble, so even I—someone who doesn't know much about camping gear and isn't great at handling it—could use them super easily haha 🏕️

I brought along Dance Dance Dance's Dubai pistachio baguette to eat on the picnic. Kind of a power move, right? lol ✌️

Board games and a shade tent outdoors
And we went hard on some games with the board games we rented. Though I was the one who got crushed... Sometimes when I go to a board game café, lots of cards or tokens like these are missing, but maybe because this place maintains them well, there were no missing cards and we could play without any problems! Plus, board games outdoors seem even more fun. The thrill is crazy 🪽🪽

For an early September Han River picnic, go at 4 p.m.
We set up the shade tent properly too, so whenever the sun came out, I went inside it and lay down to hide. When the sun was covered again, I came back out and spent some time zoning out in the backrest chair lol.
Seriously, if you don't go to a Han River park in weather like this, you're silly. In early September, if you go from 4 p.m., you can feel a little early-summer mood during the day and a little early-autumn mood at night, so I recommend visiting at 4! The sun sets around 6–7 p.m., so you can watch the sunset over the Han River too ☀️ If you want to have a camp picnic at Mangwon Hangang Park, rent picnic gear from Picnic List Mangwon and have fun haha 💓
