I went to Daejeon to buy some Sungsimdang bread and ended up at Someday Romance in Savezone, where I tried the 40cm cream calzone and Mongolian fried rice~!
It's a rooftop Southeast Asian-vibe brunch café right in the middle of downtown Dunsan-dong, so it was perfect for a Daejeon brunch date haha.
Thanks to the distinctive menu and the fresh, lush atmosphere, the conversation flowed the whole meal and we made some special memories~!
Where is Someday Romance and where do you park?
Someday Romance sits right in the middle of downtown Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, so it's really easy to get to haha. Parking is spacious on B3 and B4 of the Savezone underground lot, so it's comfortable even if you drive there!
Parking registration is done through a pad at the return zone inside the restaurant, and you can register for up to 3 hours free haha.
With 100 pyeong indoors and 100 pyeong outdoors, this huge space unfolds into a Southeast Asian-style rooftop — the perfect setting for a Daejeon brunch date atmosphere!
There's also a well-equipped group room that seats 20 inside the restaurant, which looked handy for gatherings too haha.

Going through the menu slowly, there was a good balance of varied dishes and carefully made drinks haha. From the signature brunch dishes to refreshing drinks and neat teas, there were so many options it was genuinely fun to choose!
This time we ordered and enjoyed the 40cm cream calzone, Mongolian fried rice, tropical juice, and iced peppermint tea together haha.
40cm cream calzone, ₩18,900
The signature dish, the 40cm cream calzone, is a generous portion meant for two, priced at ₩18,900! A half-moon-shaped pizza packed with a richly simmered special ragu sauce comes on the same plate as thick cream pasta, and the visual alone grabbed our attention haha.
Inside the golden, crispy pizza dough, the savory, salty ragu sauce paired beautifully with the rich cream pasta, making our Daejeon brunch date meal that much more satisfying!
Mongolian pilaf, ₩15,900
The Mongolian fried rice we also tried was ₩15,900, a fried rice loaded with pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts haha. Every grain of rice carried a subtle smoky flavor, and each bite spread savory richness through the whole mouth!
The crunchy bean sprouts, plump shrimp, and hearty pork combined into a great mix of textures — I was glad we ordered it as our Daejeon brunch date dish haha.
Tropical juice, ₩7,000
The tropical juice we drank to cool off was ₩7,000, an orange juice with colorful, rainbow-hued hibiscus tea swirled in haha. The gorgeous rainbow colors were fun to look at, and the fresh orange scent blended refreshingly with the subtle hibiscus tea!
Iced peppermint tea, ₩6,000
The iced peppermint tea was ₩6,000 and stood out for its cool, refreshing taste haha. The clean, sharp mint flavor cut right through the greasiness and finished the meal off with a fresh note!
The heartfelt brunch dishes paired well with the refreshing drinks, making our Daejeon brunch date so much more satisfying haha.
Is Someday Romance worth a Daejeon brunch trip?
Someday Romance in Seo-gu, Daejeon was a special space where you can enjoy great food while soaking up Southeast Asian vibes on a rooftop in the middle of downtown Dunsan-dong haha.
The calzone stuffed with special ragu sauce, the smoky fried rice, the pretty drinks, and even the generous parking registration service — every part of it was satisfying!
If you're near Dunsan-dong and want to enjoy a relaxed meal in a unique atmosphere, I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit~!
