Today I went for a meal with my husband, doubling as a date, at 'Someday Romance' in Savezone, Dunsan-dong, Daejeon 🤭 It's a pretty famous spot in Dunsan-dong for atmosphere and dates — here's my review! Let's get started ❤️

Someday Romance is a brunch and pasta spot on the very top floor of Savezone, where you can enjoy rooftop vibes at the same time 🌌 Stepping into Someday Romance is like entering a new world — it genuinely feels like you've wandered into a Southeast Asian resort 🌴 Every bit of the interior and every prop is so well done that I got distracted just looking around before we even ordered 😵‍💫

The flashy lighting mixed with the exotic sculptures gave me a little travel high 🤭 During the day, the blue sky blends in for a completely different mood! Whether you come by day or night, it feels great either way~

Once you step inside, the spacious, pleasant space with rattan interior details really stands out — full-on Southeast Asian resort vibes 🇹🇭 It felt so unique and I loved it! No matter where you sit, the mood is great, so you'll be satisfied ☝🏻

How ordering works: kiosk order, self pick-up

Someday Romance runs on a system where you order at the kiosk, and when your number is called over the speaker, you pick up the food yourself! Meals, desserts, and even coffee are all available, so you can enjoy everything in one place — that felt quite appealing ☕️ (*Check the showcase next to the kiosk for the dessert selection!)

After ordering, we grabbed water, pickles, kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), wet wipes, and napkins from the self-service table and headed to the seat we'd picked out :) Everything was so neatly arranged, my liking for the place went up +100

Are the dome-shaped outdoor seats good on an autumn evening?

At Someday Romance, no detail is spared — from the lighting to the floor 🩵 I genuinely agonized over where to sit~ There were so many pretty spots everywhere I couldn't decide; but since fall is the season for eating outdoors 🍁, we decided on an outdoor table!

With indoor space of about 330㎡ plus another 330㎡ outdoors, it's a rare large-scale brunch café for Dunsan-dong, perfect for group gatherings too~ Someday Romance 🌴 We settled into a dome-shaped space that gave off a private camping feel, and the cool breeze felt so nice :)

When our number was called, off we went to pick it up 🚶🏻‍💨 ✨Ta-da✨ Everything we ordered arrived! We got a little excited looking at how delicious it all looked 🤭

How do the ricotta cheese salad pizza and mentaiko pasta taste?

First, the ricotta cheese salad pizza 🍕 On a thin, chewy pizza dough, fresh vegetables and thick ricotta cheese are piled on generously! The soft, nutty taste of the ricotta combined with fresh salad made it lighter than a regular pizza, so we could enjoy it refreshingly 🍀 It seems like it'd be a great option for people on a diet too — a flavor you keep reaching for without guilt ☝🏻

Next up, the mentaiko pasta 🌶️🌶️ We just asked for the spice level to be adjusted, but after tasting it, I'd recommend going with the original spice level 2! The salty, savory umami of the mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe) soaked well into the pasta noodles, and the flavor spread richly from the first bite 😵‍💫 Rather than being sharply salty, it had a nutty, clean taste with a subtle mentaiko flavor rising through! Add a bit of heat on top, and it was just so delicious.

Last up, the grilled chicken salad 🥗 The grilled chicken was clean-tasting with a subtle smoky note, and eating it with fresh vegetables made for a light, guilt-free salad! The chicken was moist and tender, pairing well with the crisp texture of the vegetables, and the dressing kept it from getting boring till the last bite~

The grapefruit ade we ordered alongside was sweet and tangy too~ Everything we ordered went really well together and we enjoyed it a lot 🍊
