Gangnam instant tteokbokki near Sinsa Station: Mil Tteok Factory
In short
Mil Tteok Factory is an instant tteokbokki restaurant near Sinsa Station in Gangnam, Seoul. I tried ₩20,000 beef brisket tteokbokki and ₩10,000 house-made crispy fritters, and the sweet sauce was especially good with crown daisy fritters and ramen noodles. Verdict: I’d return for spicy fire tteokbokki with crown daisy fritters.

Let me introduce Mil Tteok Factory, an instant tteokbokki spot that has been around since 2019.
Especially recommended for
- Anyone who loves instant tteokbokki
- Anyone looking for great fritters

It’s about a 6-minute walk from Sinsa Station. Parking was difficult because of the neighborhood, so they recommended using a nearby paid parking lot.

Seating and conveniences
There was a nice mix of two- and four-person tables! I visited at 7 p.m. on a weekday, and two parties were already eating. About 30 minutes later, three more groups came in. Even though it was an awkward Wednesday, it was busy(!) I started wondering if this was another great spot that only I hadn’t known about.

There’s a separate self-service station, so you can freely help yourself to pickled radish, wet wipes, water, and aprons.

The restroom was kept clean too.

Post a photo review of your Naver or Google receipt and choose either four seasoned fried dumplings or a large canned drink.
Beef brisket tteokbokki and house-made crispy fritters
Beef brisket tteokbokki M ₩20,000 House-made crispy fritters ₩10,000

I initially thought ₩10,000 for fritters felt a little expensive, but once they arrived, the price made perfect sense. The assortment included mushrooms, eggplant, asparagus, crown daisy, shrimp, sundae (Korean blood sausage), sausage, and enoki mushrooms. The thin, crispy-fried crown daisy was legendary. Since the batter itself was so crunchy, everything was delicious, but ah, ah—the crown daisy and tteokbokki were a perfect match.

Tteokbokki heat level and noodle add-ons
My first thought was, “Owner, why aren’t you promoting this place?” That kind of flavor 😡 Tteokbokki is my soul food. I love instant tteokbokki so much that I go out for it regularly, and even when I travel, I always seek out the local tteokbokki hot spot. My main areas are Eunpyeong and Gangnam, yet I had no idea about this place (...)
First off, the tteokbokki leans sweet. Even for me, someone who can’t handle much spice, I thought it could be hotter—but I ordered level 2, and there’s also level 3, so go for that. Spicy fire tteokbokki with crown daisy fritters: that’s the combo.

Just seeing two kinds of rice cakes in there tells you they know how to eat. It came with ramen and jjolmyeon (chewy wheat noodles), cabbage, quail eggs, fish cake, and green onion as standard. The ramen noodles and sauce were a dream pairing, so I recommend adding extra toppings.

The brisket wasn’t my style, but I’m 10,000% returning
The beef brisket came with a smoky char flavor, which isn’t my preferred style, so it was just okay for me. But my dining companion said the brisket was delicious. Next time, I need to try the fire tteokbokki and butter jangjorim bap (rice with braised beef in soy sauce). 10,000% willing to return.
Overall
- A great instant tteokbokki spot near Sinsa Station
- The crown daisy fritters are legendary—definitely order the house-made assorted fritters
- The owner was kind too ♬
