Yongsan ramen: extra rayu broth and gyoza vs karaage, Menya Seoul

Yongsan Station I'Park Mall restaurant recommendation! With Nodeul Island open now too, I already go to Yongsan Station a lot, and I feel like I'll be going even more.

Today I went to a ramen restaurant on the 7th floor of Yongsan Station's I'Park Mall, "Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch," and had the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen and the spicy jambon chashu ramen! It's simple but delicious, and Menya Seoul's set menu is especially generous, so it fills you up.

Adding rayu (chili oil) to the already spicy broth makes an unstoppable bowl of soup. I'd want to come here the morning after drinking haha. The jambon had a savory, bacon-like flavor and texture, and the dongpo pork's thickness meant the juices were incredibly packed in ^^

What comes in the spicy jambon and dongpo pork chashu ramen sets

Since we're a couple who can handle spice ^^, we both chose the spicy broth, and since the tastier one usually ends up being what my partner eats anyway, we ordered one jambon and one dongpo pork. The set includes ramen, a side dish, and a drink, so the generous composition really stood out.

My partner tried the dongpo pork first. Judging by the look on his face, he liked it — you could already tell it was good.

I tried it too, and maybe because the meat was dongpo pork, the broth felt richer and deeper. Especially the thick dongpo pork — the juices just poured out. It really was a bowl that captured the charm of dongpo pork perfectly, so good!

How extra rayu changes the spicy jambon chashu ramen broth

And this is the spicy jambon chashu ramen. I already like thin sliced meats like bacon and jambon, so I was pleased from the start. They said it's jambon with a buttery flavor, and you could really taste that distinct aroma.

Adding extra rayu here made it much spicier, which definitely cut through the richness — you got all the good parts. It paired well with the scallions, and the soft-boiled egg was seriously delicious!!

Gyoza or karaage: which side should you pick?

For the side, I picked gyoza dumplings, and they were amazing — personally, gyoza beat karaage for me. The karaage was also tasty, but it was surprisingly soft both outside and inside, which was an unexpected and memorable touch.

Being able to see food models before ordering helped me decide what to eat, and the menu board explained everything clearly, so ordering was easy!

The sign is really pretty — look out for the "MENYA SEOUL" lettering!

Is Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall worth it?

That's my review of "Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch," a ramen restaurant I'd recommend at Yongsan Station's I'Park Mall, especially if you're craving noodles. It was easy to find right by the escalator near Living Park on the 7th floor of I'Park Mall, the space was nice, and the distinctive ramen stuck with me — especially since the set composition was so generous, I recommend it!!
