One thing I actually collect according to my own tastes is tarot cards. 💘 In Korea, people do consult tarot cards to have their fortunes read, but there aren't really tarot cards tailored specifically to Koreans, so they can be difficult to interpret.

Then I found SoulGoddess Oracle Cards! 😳 As expected, they were Korea's first self-produced tarot cards. 😭 From time to time, people launch tarot-card projects on Tumblbug too, but in the end I had only seen ones modeled after the Universal Waite deck.

But oracle cards made entirely from scratch! I only learned about them later through a product-review group, but these are tarot cards I would have bought if I had seen them sooner!

SoulGoddess was the kind of product I would have kept in my cart and agonized over, but eventually bought someday. 😭

Inside the shipping box was a leaflet introducing Soul Society and the Korean Soul Tarot Association, among other things. It gave a very organized impression.

I wasn't completely uninterested in this world, so I had come across the brand while window-shopping for products. The illustrations make me want the coloring books as well as the cards. In particular, “Picture of a Rich Person” is still in my cart because it feels like I could become richer the more I color it. 🤣

Opening them, even though they felt too precious to unwrap

Things are made to be used. But the reason this world has fallen into chaos is that things are loved and people are used.

A few days ago, I saw this line while reading a book about Buddha, and all my years of fandom flashed before my eyes. 🤣 As long as I had the money, I used to buy two or three of any product I liked: one to open and use, one to keep, one to display. 😶 Especially with beautiful products like this, I would stock up on several. 🥹

But this time, to use the thing properly, I bravely opened it and laid it out without being greedy!

The moment I opened it, Goddess Mago welcomed me. 🤭 There was also information about the Soul Talk app, and as soon as I saw the phrase “through the Goddess MBTI test,” I tried the test in the app.

As soon as I entered, the Goddess MBTI test was right at the top! There was nothing to write about MBTI; looking at the check-off list, it seemed to be analyzed through a simple test. I got a goddess named Oshun, and because I didn't know what deity she was, I looked her up. Apparently, she is a river goddess of the Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria. I never expected someone this charismatic to come up... 🙄

What about the gold foil and thickness?

Now it was time to really look at the SoulGoddess Oracle Cards, right?! 💖 The luxurious gold-foil cards were sparkling!

They are also very thick and sturdy, so I don't think they will crumple or get dirty even with frequent shuffling! I use my Universal Waite cards in plastic sleeves because there are so many comments saying they get ragged when shuffled.

They clearly put a great deal of care into the material: the thickness, texture, and finishing—there wasn't a single thing I disliked.

Just looking at these luxurious gold-foil lines is blissful! I have had gold-foil business cards made before, and if the finishing goes even a little wrong, the foil can rub off on your hands. But perhaps because the coating is so well done, there was absolutely none of that. 😏

Now let's look through the goddesses one by one! Forty goddesses share lovely messages. It would be nice to open the deck whenever you want advice or encouragement. 🤗

I was curious what the goddesses would say to me too, so I drew one card.

My question was, “Will I be able to navigate my gap-year project well?” And up came the goddess Abuk of the Dinka people of Africa!

I had already felt both envy and worry about the gap-year project, which I am doing partly as a team, but the words “It's okay to take on the challenge by yourself” gave me courage too. 😭

Some tarot-card masters interpret reversed cards too, right? As you may already have noticed, this product has no reversals. And because the messages are in Korean, they are easy to interpret! It is a truly great product for beginners to use.

If you want richer interpretations, it would be good to buy the SoulGoddess coloring book too! It is a coloring book, but it includes explanations of the goddesses, making it perfect to use as a guidebook. 🧡
